Thread: Suggestion for new Swordsman weapon

Everyone wants duel wield weapons....


2 handed swordsman should not duel wield weapons....


My suggestion is that instead of 2 handed swordsman should get double blade weapons. Much like Darth Mauls Double blade saber or saber staff.


So basicaly take the 2 handed curved sword and glue another blade on the other end of the handle.


In KOTOR there were lots of swords to choose from:


Vibroblade

Double Bladed Sword

Krath Double Sword

Vibro Double Blade

Sith War Sword

Echani Double Brand

Yusanis' Brand

Echani Ritual Brand

Wookiee Warblade


I personally would love to see a 2 handedDouble Bladed Sword as a Heavy Swordsman specific weapon. I say let the Fencers have the duel wield ability as long as we get Double Bladed swords.

I cannot argee with this, these are staff based weapons i.e. Polearms. If anything these are Pikeman weapons.


The whole idea of Dual weilding weapons just does not sit well with the Heavy Swordsman class.

Those are not Polearms, THEY ARE SWORDS.


KOTOR is very specific that these are designated as DOUBLE BLADE SWORDS.


Polearms have there own weapons in KOTOR. Granted that KOTOR does not have a lot of Staff / Polearm weapons.


Honestly I could never bring my self to accept something like the Double Vibro Blade Sword going to the Polearms class.

I didn't contradict my self, I said "Much like"


And I know this game isn't KOTOR but it is a Star Wars game.


Please stopnit pickingmy suggestion, It was only meant to offer an alternative to the people that want duel wielding for this profession.

Well I don't care what you call it.If it's wielded anything like a staff, with hands set apart some distance, it doesn't belong in our profession.


What I want is a big kinetic damage sword with damage numbers like the powerhammer. We need a good lairbuster andthe blades we have now don't really cut it.


Oh yeah, I also want an AP3weapon... (ya I knowlightsabers are only AP2, but there's a limit to how much AP you can get out of something that is swung effortlessly with a flick of the wrist).

Yeah, I'd like to get rid of my PowerHammer and use a big ass sword myself.......and P.S. Dual Wielding is NOT made for 2-handed weapons.....what idiot thinks history made 2-handed swords (which is designed to require 2hands to properly wield), available to dual wield?......


And most of these retarded ones who want dual wielding for Heavy Swordsman never even HELD a 2-handed sword before, if they did, they'd understand too.
