As a wookiee swordsman, my only 'real' chance to lvl up in my favourite profession was to dabble in CH and use Graul Maulers to take my beating for me. Now, as a 2200 CH and a wookiee, what the hell do I use/fight to get good xp now? Any suggestions as not only did i get to 0201 before holos, this is now my holo profession.

*grumble....nerf CH....grumble....wookiees suck......grumble*

Your best bet would be to team up with a true Creature Handler.

If you arent into the team thing, its gonna just be a little harder to lvl up. But with doc buffs and such you can still be a very formidible force.

Good Luck to Ya.

I ended up mastering Brawler and getting 2/0/0/0 in teras kasi, I was able to solo myself all the way up to master swordman with powerboost and knockdown/warcry.

I agree with onabo, most of my brawler life was a poor existence without armor, doc buffs , food, spice, just some mediocre stim b's,my average weapons and my trandoshan brawler stats. My mind and action were low, my health was cool. I mean at least the wookie gets an area intimidate, that has to be so cool... But yeah, just do it one at a time, learn to pull one animal, aggros are easier to pull then non-aggros. Then brawl baby! it will make you a better brawler by being disadvantaged from the start. I went ot lok, I killed a lot of spined snakes, flints, perlek. I go to dantooine now, and kill fierce pinkets and huurtons. Remeber you have to pullone at a time. Oh, and get rid of that pet unless you really like CH and that is what you want to do, you are a brawler dude!!! BRAWL. I was CH for a bit, but that was also when I was going to be a BH a looong time ago. Even before the first CH nerf I stopped using my pet when I brawled unless an emergency because they run, or my target runs too much. Happy brawling,

i created an account with the sole purpose of holo grinding...

1 was fencer and 2 was swordsman. I knocked out swordsman in little over a week just hunting nights after work.

For me buffs were the key... I always got them. Carry some muon or some mind food/drink for emergencies and good to go.

i usually get about 320k to 350k a buff cycle at the higher levels of sword. (yes i kept fencer to help as well but still.)

my character is a trandoshan, and i havent wore a piece of armor since i started the game. i havent really needed it either. before i got master brawler i could just easily take out two fambaa, but once i got master brawler if warcry 2 hits i can easily take out three or more. same with sharnaff on corellia, as well as the basic pickets and picket plains walkers.

the whole myth of us brawling classes needing armor, is just a load of bull, i have spoken to wookiee brawlers and they do just fine.

well.. I made over a 100k exp in an hour today.. Muon + doc buffs.. run around... AE'ed Cannibal dewbacks, Desert Squills, Desert Razorbacks, Dragonets.... Usually id go to dath or dantooine, but I wanted to stay around my city.

Seriously if you use CoB and AE, you should have very little problems getting master swordsman. Especially if you get mitigation 2.

I agree with the pro-swordsman here.

I have yet to try any profession that was as easy to master or as fun and indestructable as Swordsman. With 55% composite, mind food and doc buffs, I have yet to run into anything I can't kill 10 of at a time solo. Towards the end, when I was concerned with mastering it, I was getting a million exp a night in a few hours. If you go a cave set up like I just mentioned, you can aggro up to 20 mobs and spin attack/area attack. Now with CoB and the new damage mitigation, it's even easier.

I have no idea what makes this profession suck to you guys. Combine it with Carbineer or the defensive lines of TKA and/or Fencer and you are a god instead of just a demigod. Maybe I'm playing a different game than you guys, but I can't find a single complaint about Swordsman other than Area Attacks not lowering posture or dizzying enough. Ok, maybe we could use a different weapon other than the hammer, but having a weapon that does blast damage is sweet, considering no one concentrates on that resist. I love PvPing against these guys on the 77% Kinetic Ubese kick. They just cry when you one shot them with your hammer.

lol, i absolutely LOVE swordsman. It's been my choice from the start and the fact it became a holo profession just gave it more edge, but I just wondered how was the best way to get good exp when i haven't got access to armour. I go down pretty hard and fast most times when surrounded by3 pikets hitting me for 220 hp a throw

maths time: 3 x 220 = 660

The cave thing does sound like a good plan

Oh and the reason i was so pissed was that i can only solo FS npc's (the only way you should hunt them IMHO) was with a Graul Mauler. Now i die instantly.

Hey Shaddo, Mind sharing exactly what caves you go to?

A million xp in a night.... that's pretty darn good. How many hours does your night consist of? At my current rate, hunting pikets... that would take me 10 hours (technically, that is a "night"... but i'd love to hear you say that you consider 4 hours a night...hehe).

Any further advice that you can give would be very appreciated by all of us! BTW... I'm TKM , and 1/2 way through swordsman... so far, I like swordsman better.
