I have been a master swordsman for about four months and love it. I have killed many TKMs and have been killed by many Fencers, i know the strengths and weaknesses of our great (and incomplete) profession.

My question for you is, is it worth spending hours searching through dead bodies of thousands of NPCs to find that jewel of a clothing attachment giving +1, +2, etc to two handed melee speed (heavy swords whatever), or for the fabled Legendary weapon?

Also! What NPCs have the highest drop rate for clothing attachments, i realize there's no way in hell i'm gonna get a legendary wep lol. I hear Aukuuan Champions and 8k tusken missions have a nice drop rate, what do you suggest? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ive found faction farming or running factional missions to be quite plentiful in the +5 skill tape range.

Last week I got a +5 2handed speed CA from a Stormie run in Talus.

Also got a droid assembly +4 tape in the same run

Can you believe that under the new jedi system I still have to grind Doctor to complete a Quest?

only problem being imp is having the better faction pets on our side... the weapons facility on naboo is also a great place for rebs to get stuff. before pub 10 i was looted 4-6 holocrons in one buff session.

Fezzig it's like winning the lottery though. You might not get anything really amazing no matter how long you hunt them. Also, dont know if its me but drop rates across the board seem to have gone down quite a bit since pub 10. NS especially. Maybe they replaced some of the good loot with all that gong/rug crap.

screw trying to find a speed tape. its pretty hard to find what you want when there are 50 differnt mods that cna drop. go kill NS and farm all the loot they drop, sell the loot, buy the attachment you want. i find that is much faster, and you can make some good money at it. i have got some pretty decent loots over my time and i only hunt them like 1-2 times a week (if that).

Hunt nightsisters for a couple months. Loot stuff like this and this and auctionfor gazillions of credits. Buy anything you want or need.

No it's not worth it and it's also much more difficult to get afair shot since the good loot mobs are usually dead within minutes or an hour after server reset. You can try competing but the farmers have been doing this a long time so not only do you need to be fast but you probably need friends since you can count on your ph being outdmgd by these guys with their huge dmg t-21s and the strafe dmg multiplier. While you headshot it to death they will lower the health and action both by more than half and get looting rights. They also wont have agro so you will lose moretime intimidating and healing/first aid on tough mobs instead of doing damage.

NS Eldersand some othersemi-generic mobs can in theory drop amazing stuff but that's misleading since their drops seem sorare now.

If you want an unreal weapon or mods just grind jantas for 2or 3 weeks. If you put in some effort you will end up with 150-200 million in addition to the sellable stuff the jantas sometimes drop. It is boring but it is probably the most consistent money you can make while earningdecent FS xp. Also, make sure you knowhow much 2hspeed you really need if you factor in the +12 enhanced FS speed. It's not much - like+5 if you are a master brawler.

You can pretty much buy almostany weapon in the game then - BUT alsorealize that most of the really amazing weapons likea t-21with about 1800 dmg unsliced exceptional, dont usually see the trade forums. That said you dont need an unreal hammer with 2k dmg and a mind disease dot @ 650str, 1200s, 150% potency -1 uses. Cap your skills and get a big dmg hammer. With a good template fencers are not tough- unless of course they have ridiculous dots on their baton or whateverlike the one I mentioned above. Even then there are ways to deal with this.

Janta grind is not the most fun but some good group conversation makes it pretty good since you can see how your FS xp and money continually rises. If you do elders or krayts expect low drop rates and plenty of killstealing. The missions you mentioned belowdont givetapes with highenough mods to cap the SEA limits in the things you should get like ranged/melee defense +25.

Hope this helps.

I made a simalar post like this that got flamed to hell for no reason wish it hadnt but whateva. But yeah I agree janta missions are pretty good you can get alot of crystals which can sell pretty decently, and the rare lootkit pieces, janta blood which sells well to doctors, and even dot weapons but mostly stone knives and staffs, and my fave... janta hides if you get them over base like 4% or higher you can get yourself I nice set of armor made or make a grip selling them to an armorsmith. My experiance hunting nightsisters has been ok but not as lucky as some. I walk away with at least 5 crystals every time I go out and I dont only kill elders I have heard bada$$ weapons being dropped from the much easier rangers and such and 2 out of 3 of my exceptional loots came from lower level sisters EG: rancor tamer and sentinal. All the skill mods I have looted have been pretty worthless but that doesnt mean good stuff doesnt drop.

I hear lord Nyax drops high end skill mods but hes on like a 4 hour spawn timer and always camped.

I did most of my cash by killing GDK on LOK and looting Scales. they sold for 2M at elast on my server and made me a pretty 40M in the last month. GDK are easy for Swordsman, the pb is to find them, but if you're ready to spend some time in the good area, you will know where you have the most chance to find some ( they respawn 3 times after the first kill).

This allow me to buy the +4 2H speed needed to speed cap
