Thread: Two Hand Speed Cap

At master swordsman, a swordsman has +75 2Hand Weapon speed. How many skill tapes will I need to purchase before I am capped for speed?

lets see if you want to use powerhammer with 5.9 speedand be speed capped 92-95

with 95 2h speed you will hit once in second if weapon speed is 6.1(acklay hammer)or lower.

95 eh....eww.....looks like i gotta start looking for those skill tapes, hope for a +20 speed tape

You can (theoretically) obtain up to 117 speed (Mswordsman/Mbrawler+25 in tapes+FS melee speed tree) but that is max, since you can anything over +25 in tapes doesn't work.

But you don't need anything over +95, unless you have a really slow hammer.

100 is the speed cap. Every weapon will hit/fire once a second with 100 speed mod for that weapon



and the rituals that fade away, and the roses that cease to be laid, and it's clear to me that we're one foot in a very shallow grave

But that is un-needed for a capped swordsman... would be much wiser to spend remaining points on Dmg, range or HAM

100 speed= 100%


100 - (your speed mod) = (your speed multiplier)


so if you have 75 speed... 100 - 75 = 25% (25% is your multiplier to reduce time cost for your attacks)


Let's say your hammer is 5.9 speed, or hits a basic attack every 5.9 seconds. The time multiplier for hit3 is 3.3 seconds.


5.9 x 3.3 = 19.47 seconds (this is how often you would swing hit3with no mods)


19.47 x 25% or 19.47 x 0.25 = 4.8 seconds (this is how often you would hit with hit3 with 75 speed, pretty slow with no extra speed mods)



Head hit 3 is only a 2.5 time multiplier. So you would do that every 3.7 seconds.


You would need 93 speed to cap head hit 3 to 1 secondwith your 5.9 speed hammer.


The cheapest way, swordsman 75, masterbrawler +5, force melee speed +12, one cheap clothing attachment +1.

So for me only having 75 speed mod, getting speed slices on my sycthes isnt that bad? only bad if you speed capped is this correct (basing this on that I normally use head hit 3). I alsways thought speed slices were a waste of weapon so I put my weapons stats into the calsulator and I get a higher dps with my speed sliced weapons than my higher sliced damage. Is this correct or am I talking crap.
