Swordsman Archive

Title pretty much says it all. Do any of you know how a Swordsman's damage would compare to a Master TK's damage? I read today they are getting their damage multipliers increased in the next month or so, and of course didnt see a word about Swordsman.

I hope not, they by far do the most damage out of any profession I'eve ever seen.........wheres the swordmans love?

I am swordsman and I have yet to see a TKA do more damage than me.

I don't think they have as big of dmg on each hit, but they get alot more hits then we do. I think that they would do more dmg over time than we would. Not to mention they get that nice meditation ability. Seems like someone needs to throw us other melee classes a bone.

Crimson, thats what I meant. I've seen a TK do combos that rake in more damage than I've seen with someone either using a Laser rifle or Sword/axe in one sitting and in a short amount of time...........I personally think that they are the most powerful out of all the melee profesions..............or until the devs give fix whats wrong with our profession...........

Yeah, I definatly think that they are hands down the most powerful melee class in the game. They get a dmg modifier, and can use a weapon. They get many status effecting attacks, and get meditation which stops bleeding, and can heal wounds accourding to the description. At least how i see it they are the most powerfull melee class by far. Maybe my view is flawed but it just seems to add up that way.

take a look at your hit modifier the next time you play and I can gurantee that you'll see some sorta negative number..............I miss almost 90% on my first hit, but connect the one after.........but when your dealing with some big fish that first hit can be the difference between your deathblow of his.........

One thing to consider is that we probably haven't yet seen the best swords possible. The swordsman's damage is heavily dependent upon the weapon. Things may start to even out soon. (I know the same thing could be said about the TKA's knucklers, but I tend to doubt that they will improve as much as the best swords.)

Lol...I still dont see how you guys are doing less damage than a TKA. My sword is 71-289 speed 2.7. I have advanced sword technique which gives me +15 2hand speed and a total of +50 now. If I go berserk vs a TKA that goes berserk i will win. So what makes you guys weaker than me? What is the damage of your weapon and what species are you? I am a wookiee.

Repo, most servers dont have access to weapons that great, and stats have nothing to do with damage, neither does being a wookie

I play as a rodian, and I (used) to get some pretty big hits too, but i lost my char.

You have a very serious weapon...Kiranie was making 2h swords with 260 dam unsliced for 50k unfortunately...the ore has run out in our galaxy and she can't make them anymore...are you on Chilastra? can you name any other weaponsmiths that can make a sword of that calibur ?

Honestly, I dropped a TKA artist in 2 hits. Its not about brute strength guys, its about stratagy. TKAs are brawlers, they have low mind, we have the weapon that attacks mind, use it to your advantage, dont need berzerk. Berzerking on a TKA is a BAD idea, you have no controll on which HAM you hit.Hope this helps

Yes i have taken TK guys down in one hit with Headhit3, but still they do damage faster, when im in a group with some they always get more xp then me even if i do a 3000+ hit.
