Thread: Will Squad Leaders ever get to lead spaceship squads?
Just wondering if after the space expansion if this might happen? I mean like in the movies they had on the Rebel side the Squad Leaders of the different Squads - Red Leader, Gold Leader, Blue Leader and so on...
So will we ever get to become this? Just wondered what everyone else thought about it.
Speculation the Space Expansion is very tough because it is a long ways off, and there are almost no hooks built into the current profession system to allow the addition of others later on.
I would imagine that there would be a seperate skill tree for space squad leaders. This is realistic, and reasonable. In the same way an officer in the Air Force cannot do what an officer in the Army can do, and also this would make Squad Leader the only cross-platform profession (ie, riflemen aren't going to be able to use space rifles on spaceships as far as I know).
Neat idea, but only a year or two will tell.
