Squad Leader Archive

To get to the level of Novice Squad Leader, you need:
Marksman: Ranged Weapon Support Abbility
Scout: Exploration IV Alien
Survival IV Special Techniques

My question: Would you loose your Novice Squad Leader profession if you choose, down the road, to give up your XP in either the scout or marksman profession?

I think the answer is yes, but looking for confirmation.

Yes. The game will not let you surrender any skills that are prequisites for other skills.
