Thread: Squad Leader bug list
Here's a list of current issues for the Squad Leader profession, mostly to answer questions for new Squad Leaders but also as an attempt to keep track with the abilities that aren't working right. If you know of any bugs I've missed, please reply with details.
Maxed combat xp prevents players from earning squad leader xp
/Formup -Doesn't work on Creature Handler pets.
/Retreat - Does not affect squad leader
/rally -Prevents anyone in group from harvesting.
/boostmorale - Pets do not give or receive wounds, but are counted in the initial calculation for distributing wounds.
I haven't been able to get /rally to work at all. It tells me I have to be the leader of the group, but, of course, I am.

I wasn't done when this posted. Don't ask =)
Maxed combat xp prevents players from earning squad leader xp
- Workaround - Spend your combat xp on another skill tree, then you will start getting squad leader xp
/Formup -Does not work, says you aren't the leader of the squad. Doesn't work on Creature Handler pets.
/Retreat - Does not affect squad leader
/rally -Does not work, says you aren't the leader of the squad. Prevents anyone in group from harvesting.
/boostmorale - Pets do not give or receive wounds, but are counted in the initial calculation for distributing wounds.
/volleyfire - Does not work, says you aren't the leader of the squad.
As an aside I'd like to point out that, with the exception of /sysgroup, every single squad leader ability is bugged. However, the passive bonuses do appear to be working.
you are forgetting that when you use the /rally command that medics can not /dragincapacitatedplayer
Mind you that isn't an issue at all right now since /rally does not work! But I figgured we should probably get this list ready for Capt Vem to do hit monthly submit and be ingnored.
Thanks Iruc, so then we've got:

Hmm.../formup isn't supposed to work on pets. The /retreat isn't supposed to work on squad leader, and /boostmoral isn't supposed to consider pets. Can you clarify what you mean by the pets are calculated in the inital calculation for distribution of wounds? The rest I agree with.

"/Retreat - Does not affect squad leader"
It's not intended to affect the Squad Leader. It is intended to be a self-sacrificial thing. Unless you are trying to say that the ability doesn't work at all, and then that's something we need to report.
Regarding /retreat, I didn't know that. Works for me. As far as I know it's working otherwise.
Why isn't /formup supposed to work on CH pets? Did a dev somewhere say it wasn't? And why not?
As for the boostmorale thing, I'm not trying to say whether or not /boostmorale is supposed to work on pets or not. My personal opinion is that it should work on faction pets but not CH pets, but that's not the problem =) The problem is that if you're grouped with an AT-ST that has no wounds, and you have 200 wounds, using boostmorale will not assign the AT-ST any wounds and heal your wounds up to 100. If the AT-ST has 1000 wounds and you have none, using /boostmorale will increase your wounds to 500 and the AT-ST stays at 1000 wounds. Honestly it's the most useful command in our repertoire, but it's still buggy =)
As far as I know, none of the SL commands are supposed to work on pets. The last patch made note that the /boostmoral command was 'fixed' to NOT consider pets because this was viewed as an exploit by the game designers and developers.

Rally also doesnt let you use tickets, sit down, burst run. Its pretty much like dizzy & stunned & fighting all rolled into one ![]()
I also made a nice LONG post in the devolpment forum. It was unread and unreplied by everyone and anyone including those "hard-working" DEVs
Thanks Swan. Foundyour devpost too. Regarding changes to how the abilities work,I believe everything you talked aboutis in the SL Correspondant report from early September.
Maxed combat xp prevents players from earning squad leader xp
- Workaround - Spend your combat xp on another skill tree, then you will start getting squad leader xp
/Formup -Does not work, says you aren't the leader of the squad. (Fixestimated by Q3PO on 10/14 at last notice)
/rally -Does not work, says you aren't the leader of the squad. When it did work, prevented anyone in group from harvesting, accessing terminals, sitting, burst running, and prevents Medics fromusing /dragincapacitatedplayer on a member of your group. (Fix to "You must be leader" problem estimated by Q3PO on 10/14 at last notice)
/boostmorale - Pets do not give or receive wounds, but are counted in the initial calculation for distributing wounds. Reported fixed, require confirmation.
/volleyfire - Does not work, says you aren't the leader of the squad. (Fixestimated by Q3PO on 10/14 at last notice)
I'm trying not to get into what kinds of changes need to be made to the abilities, but I figure it shouldn't be as hard to just get them to fix what we already have.
