Squad Leader Archive

I'm not sure why I've stuck with it so long. Maybe just out of a duty not to go with one of the uber professions that jump out at me when I try to re-arrange my professions. Being a Master Ranger, Bounty Hunter and Creature Handler literally jump out at me as obvious alternates, and I just couldn't get myself to do it.

For some reason I was okay with it so long as they hadn't touched it. Now the devs have touched it twice, both times tonerf the class. Last time, it took 2 weeks just to patch the part they broke. Accidental or not, I'm not interested in waiting more weeks, months, who knows how long, just so they can eventually figure out what they did to screw theprofession up, nevermind the years it'll take to give it the complete overhaul that it desperately needs. Similar to how they altered my perception of the Jedi profession, the devs have managed to actually drive me away kicking and screaming from what I wanted to do in this game. If not for their absolute ignorance(or was it downright incompetence?), I would have stuck with it.

Droid Engineer would be better than this, and that's saying a lot.

Somehow I doubt I'll be playing this game much longer. There are still things I haven't done. We'll see. Maybe I will really like being something else.

I would have to agree. Although I'm not dropping it just yet, it certainly is disheartening...

If this game was supposed to be the end all be all for grouping/teaming why would they take such an important class and give them no skills and make it viturally impossible to lvl up? I've personally been shunned by csr's. Had my complaint tickets/bug tickets deleted mannually. And sit here watching as no one from soe or the dev/csr teams even responds.

Whats the point?

I recently bought composite and found out today that its just not going to cut it. If I so much as use one of my skills I drain 25% of my mind and anywhere from 10-20% of my action. I can't deal with that because with my armor on Ire/charge at a substantially lower rate. Thats assuming they're working and even doing anything. I get failure rates as high as 90% of the time for rally and form up. I can't tell what passive skills do what, if anything. I'm not even sure that the active skills are doing anything. I can possibly obtain Master Squad Leader?!? What good does that do. My xp is nerfed. What was once 4.9 million points (thats 4,900,000 DEVS!!) to go to master, has now effectively become more like 49 million and thats if I don't do crap. I'm screwed. I help I loose squad leader xp. I don't help I loose weapons xp. Its a loose loose situation. **edit**?!?

I'm venting for no other apparent reason than to just hear myself talk. Its obivious that my bug reports and cs tickets have fallen on deaf ears (as is apparent from my ticket being manually deleted last night).

So as to not be completely critical and be totally shut down once again. Fix the squad leader profession. Make our skills worthwhile. Maybe make it so that faction pets are only allowed by us. Make it so that we get more than the rest. Make it so that we have specific mission termials (as suggested in another thread which at this point I'm too pissed off to link to). Make it so that when a group goes out to kill/destroy they want us in the group. Make it so that we can actually obtain xp properly. Make it so that we don't kill ourselves helping (which probably isn't really helping) the group with our commands. Allow us to become the profession that so many of us thought this would be. Remove the requirement for camping from the scout profession since it does absolutely no good in this profession or give us special structures that only squad leaders can build/fortify.

I took on squad leader because I felt it would benefit my group, for that matter, benefit all groups I was a part of. NOT to be a hinderence. I took up squad leader because most groups are disorganized and lacked leadership. Yet every time I look around I see more and more people either saying "GOD WHY WOULD I WANT TO BE THAT CLASS" or "WELP I'M HANGING UP THIS PROFESSION AND GOING XXXXX". We aren't even considered a viable class because we cannot effectively aid our fellow players. A novice whatever is more valuable to people then us.

I'm on a month to month because I'm not sure how long I'm willing to put up with this crap. Lucasshould be ashamed to have his name associated with such crap...
