Thread: Looking for advice on how to master SL
1) is there a multiplier for how much exp i get ? does it depend on what we kill or on how many people are in group or on how much dmg i do while i am group leader ?
2) when does a squad leader gain exp? i know its when he leads grp obviously but is it time-based or whenever the grp kills something?
3) is there a range to when squad leaders gain exp? i am imperial and somtimes we have big 10+ person groups going with ATST to get big difficulty missions in my PA.. i was wondering if i group 10 or so people and they run all over (all out of range of eachother runnning missions on their own).. do i still gain exp even though im far away from them?

On my server my guild runs a weekly hunt on Dathomir or Endor or sometimes Yavin.
Announce on monday that you are hunting on Wednesday and make sure the thread stays on the first page of your servers forums. It helps if you make you post kinda funny and have a few friends post in it and make it look fun. Make sure you let people know that there is lots of XP to be had for combat professions and you need medics (more XP) to keep everybody on their feet
On the night of the hunt you will likely have 15+ people. Go out and just hunt with the group. I got SL 4/4/4/4 in one night of 3 hours of hunting. I had to leave a few times to get trained. Unless you know a master SL who will come along simply to train you when you hit your cap(which happens fast).
Another strategy is to just go to Ft Tusken with a group keep inviting people into your group and you'll get it about 4 hours as well.
Its sad that you can get it so fast, but it's true.
That includes the time I wasted flying back to Corellia, to Talus, training, and flying back. Twice I had to do that after hitting my XP cap.
If I could offer you any kind of advice, it'd be to ask either a Master Squad Leader or someone you can find that is up to IV in one of the trees to come with you long enough to get your cap at 900k (which it should be once you get a tree up to IV). That'll help alot.
You're looking at around 20k per rancor and 40k for each lair. It's fast, and a lot of fun!

Not necessarily how much dmg you do, but if you think about it, the higher the lvl of thing your killing, the more people you will need, and it's all more exp.

The group has to kill stuff, you get exp based on the level of it

You gain more exp the closer you are... I got about 85k per Krayt Dragon we killed right on top of em, and when I left to get trained in some Squad Leade skill, I didn't get a thing when the killed it when I was a city away.
4) best places to gain squad leader exp
Krayts 85k per (large squad) or you get an assload if you go raiding an opposing faction (in your case, Rebel) Base. around 15k per NPC and just think of the spawn rate 
... then again, I was at a place with 3 Rebel Bases with continuous respawns haha...
Really just find a master squad leader on your server. ask, bribe, paythem for their time and suggestions go to dathomir with 4 or 5 people create a enraged rancor group. Go kill kill kill. and you should have your grind finished. Then you can move along. I hope this class unlocks for you since it is very quick to level if you try hard to do so.
