Thread: Beyond Master Squad Leader?

To all Squad Leaders, I am collecting info on what type of Prestige Class you would like to see after Master Squad Leader. For example...
After achieving Master Ranger you have now opened the paths to:
- The Outdoorsman (Big Game Hunter)
- Antarian Ranger (possesses minor force resistances and abilities)
- Combat Ranger (master of guerilla warfare)
Those were just examples of ideas I had for the Ranger profession. Now that you hopefully see where I am going with this idea, I would love to see where you would like theSquad Leaderto go after achieving the title of Master Squad Leader. Any and all input is welcome, but please try to keep it constructive.

I think before we the devs add something after master SL they need to add something useful after novice SL.

True, but I am asking that you all look beyond Squad Leader and if you had the power, what possible Prestige Classes could branch off of Master Squad Leader? Just use your imagination. Be constructive though. If you can't add any idea to this, then please don't bother posting.

Somevery simple ideas I had. Not sure how they can be fleshed out yet, but hereare the titles....
- Imperial Strategist
- Rebel Coordinator
- Mercenary Leader

Those are more factional, if interesting. I think hes looking for something more like:
SpecOPs Leader: Reduces max group size to 5 (plus SL) but focuses on special forces type missions such as assasinations, rescues, and espionage/recon type missions. Group bonuses are given to reflect this focus, such as target lasing for orbital bombardment, the ability to camoflague the squad from players and NPCs alike, etc.
Commander: (not the rank, the position) This would focus more on open combat against opposing factions. would require groups to be made of all the same faction, but would increase max group size to 40. Would provide both XP bonuses, and modifiers when in combat against those of an opposing faction. Would allow the commander to designate an XO, who can get SL XP and help to coordinate attacks. This is the profession youd go with for GCW type events, such as battlefields, imperial crackdown, dungeons, etc.
Those are the only two I can really see as being natural progressions from SL. you can either go bigger in scope from a normal squad, or you can go smaller in scope, to a more elite unit. id imagine PAs and player city types would be more interested in Commander, and the more independent types would be more interested in SpecOps Leader.
