Thread: Suggestion: Active Squad Leader list by Galaxy

I'm curious if anyone thinks this would be a good idea for our Forum to have maintained. There are so few of us in each galaxy....itmight be helpful togroups looking for oneof us.


I would suggest that the SL Correspondant manage it though.

In general:

A good idea.

But what about those SL that dont roam the forum?
And what about those that switch and forget to mention it?
Don't know how much work this might be -in addition- for Darth Sushi to wade through all the post here and the SL Revamp Thread in the In Concept forum and collect the good ideas to compile them into one good dokument/post to be presented to the DEVs team.

Collect ideas? No this is just a maintained list of Active Squad Leaders by name who can be contacted by TELL or in-game e-mail to provide services to a group. Nothing more.


Also SL's would have to request their name be put on it....just like the lists maintained in other prof forums. Voluntary only.


No documents. No ideas for the game. Just names of "SL's for Hire"....so to speak.

There actually is one for us. It's a few pages down, but I think updating it would be a good idea.

Another reason to have this...is to help Novices find players who can train. I've noticed this is a reason given on like the "Carbineer Active List by Galaxy". That's more for other Carbs than for someone looking for a Carb resource.

Personally, I'm against cross-server listings because they never seem to be up-to-date, people sign as they are here but if they leave the prof or the game, they never unsign. They also add unnecissary clutter, and very quickly get lost unless they get regular bumping, in which case you have multitudes of bumps in comparision to the actual signitures (specially with a prof as small as SL).


If you are going to sign one, I suggest signing an existing one instead of starting a new one, here is A list of Professional Squad Leaders that was created over a year ago and recently kindly necroed for your use.

I'm fine withthat. I just think the Corr. should maintain the list for the sake of consistency and their Glowy will keep it alive.
