I have an alt that is a MSL that I haven't played in a long time. I am testing the SL on CU and I find myself fumbling back and forth between the UI for my Squad Leader Commands (basically I am out of practice). I was curious to how some of you seasoned Squad Leaders key mapped you commands. Any input would be appreciated.

I leave all my "usefull" comands in the f9 to f12 hot keys, and the ctrl-f9 to ctrl-f12 too
So, retreat, form up, stead aim, voley fire and rally are all there
I did not have the chance to try it in the cu yet, but i dont think they were fixed or improved.
Cuz, a revamp in teh SL profession is promissed sice a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away

Thanks for the info. I will try that out tonight. I find myself hotkeying more commands to the keyboard. Quite frankly I am running out of room on the keyboard and memoryin my head

Dont forget you can creat your own key bindings
1-Create a macro, even if it will reapeat a command that there is already in the macro windows (like /volleyfire and name it VF)
2-Go to option, controls, keymap, chooose "custom" and should be there your created macro named VF
3-From there you can bind a key, or a combo of keys to execute your comand.
You could put the macro commando to shift+v or other combe key you would like or is more logical to your thoughts.

That is a useful little tip for other who do not know that. I have my Examine on CTRL+Z, my Loot/Harvest/DB on CTRL+X, my Closest Target on Q etc. However I do like the F9 (1 button) approach that you suggested.

I generally have my SL commands on the bottom row of a two level toolbar pane. I keep my combat specials on teh top bar. I figure I want to use SL commands selectively and thus require a shift+f1 to /retreat.
Also for sys I have aliases that color code them and so it is straight typing.

I revisit this thread because I believe that this is important to being a good SL and in the dark days post-cu, we need to be good in what we do, leading groups. I'm at work currently (my boss had to arch an eyebrow at Darth Sushi's name, lol) so once I change some things around on mine later tonight, I'll post my key mappings. But if we can be more effective as a whole, the individual SL will benefit. So how about now post-cu are yours mapped out?
