Thread: Am I the only one who thinks SL = uber? Even as a duelist?

Ok I finished grinding my MSL/TKM Stormwulf in January, back then she just stayed in my cantina and spammed form ups. I was dizzyproof and stunproof until the CU hit. I added nov pikeman and dropped any medic I had.
Sure, the range calculation for the moves was so broken after the CU, its mostly fixed now, range from 45m to 7000m depending on the move. But look at SL from a duelist standpoint, say you are grouped with an AFK dancer and want to duel, I duel all the time with it it has some really strong points.
Rally: +80 melee/ranged def, +40 accuracy: its a huge vs an opponent when active, AND stacks on top of improved center of being.
Total mods for the two, including my template: melee def +640 ranged def +625 base unarmed acc +200.
Then add in volley fire, increases your chance to hit and lowers your opponent's defense and accuracy, BETTER than any state that now exists. Usually they dont know what hit them, like anyone is commonly the victim of volley fire.
The rest comes with practice, tactics for food are reactionary mostly. Since you are basically tanking and hitting them after their action is low, you have to be patient. I toss in unarmed dizzy hits, ruby bilel, stun to further alter the balance, I watch to see what they eat (If they eat corellian ale, I eat vegeparsenine, if they eat deuterium pyro i drink ranged def grog, If my ralluy runs out for a few secs between i eat exo-protien wafers, I keep crispic in all the time)

I had MSL and TKM until a respec gone horribly wrong. Volley fire plus Armor break was quite fun and I have to say I was alot sexier then now, haveing to sportbulky unconfortablearmor. There are a few profession combos with SL that can hold it's own if realy thought out, as long as you're grouped with someone and like you said, have the right sort of munchies.
