Lurking the DEV tracker I found that somebody mentioned that he had a blog on the web, the hint was to do a google search to:
and there it is!
An awefull good man according to his blog entries.
His Essays are a blast !
Well written, well analysed, right to the point, you might say flawless pearls (sorry that I had to use this term).
So why is it, that this man, who wrote Xp per Kill could have ever allowed a level system pour into the skill based and XP rated star wars galaxies skill system?
Who is holding him back?
Some quick links:
Why humans suck in RPG
Tanker Nuker Healer
Mirroring, Instacing, Cross cluster content
p.s.: I'll share this with you reading it here cause I currently don't see any other forum where the majority of ppl are intelligent enought to understand what he writes. This may sound harsh but you'll have to admit its hard to find reasonable ppl on these boards.

For example, if you're on a quest to kill all the rabbits in the farmer's fields (and of course, there are 10 rabbits), and so am I, then we can group and complete the quest by killing 10 rats total. On the other hand, if we aren't grouped, then we have to kill 10 each, even if it means standing there waiting for rabbits to respawn. The quest system isn't really group-aware (let alone world-aware). In fact it's the lack of group-awareness that allows group members to simultaneously register multiple quest objective completion events. But then it's also what allows multiple people to take the exact same quest simultaneously, so it's isn't all bad either.
Does anyone else see a contradiction? LOL Is it rats or rabbits he's killing?
