Thread: Question about Cool down timers

The last couple of days, I've noticed what appears to me, a longer cool down. It may just be me, but I could've sworn that the amount of time between uses has increased from before. Has anyone else had problems?

I haven't noticed longer cooldowns, but my question is does your weapon speed affect your cooldown timers on SL abilities?

There are rumors/reports/observations that the weapons speed and the weapon SAC affect your squad leader abilities in SAC cost and recharge rate but they are unconfirmed.
Since I think SOE is to dump to come up with a different coding special for squad leader abilities to differ them from regular ranged or melee professions I guess that rumor is right.

The reason why I ask is because I have been using the SAME exact weapon and I've had what seemed a lot shorter cool down time using our skills, even when grouped and it takes bleh amount of time to use it. Maybe I'm just paying more attention to the timer? I'm not sure.

I first believed it was related to weapons speed only (I aquired a lot of carbine speed lately) but Darth Sushi

made me check it again.
Volleyfire cooldown is reported to have a 45 second cool down in the wiki since May 14.
The cooldown is now exact 30 seconds,
... since it now fits in perfectly to watch the 30 seconds KD immunity so I hit chargeshot right after I put my vollyfire on my target (yeah, maximizing your groups damage output
).
I believe that rally is still on 45 seconds cooldown timer, since I didnt noticed any change in conjuction with my macro-ed /addAlarmIn - timers.
Edit:
I dont use steadyaim and boostmorale, and retreat and formup only very rarely. I dont even have formup on my toolbar, Im typing it in the commandline when needed .....

I have noticed an apparent reduction in cooldown / recharge times. I'm not surewhether it's keyed to my equipped weapon. It's just an impression, and I also don't really have a decent baseline to test against - Bria hasn't exactly been cooperative this week. I am interested to hear if anyone else is experiencing anything similar. I'll have to check on this some more. It might have been in a recent batch of patch notes.
