Yep Yep. Was looking into a next profession...(i have this bad hobby of wanting to start a new profession after i master one)...and i noticed i had way more than enough of pre-req's and xp for Novice Squad Leader..so i thought i would give it a whirl.

It isn't too hard is it? Been reading forums some, i think i'm going to start out making group for Tuskens or something. Any other tips? Remember i'm a complete SL newb, so when you are thinking of tips, take that into consideration

Thanks Ahead.

Oh and i am neutral, thinking about going Rebel though, how could i get Corvette ticket as a neutral or Rebel...and lead a squad in there? I heard its good xp.

What I did was went to Dath. got into a good group of about 8-10peeps and hunted Rancor's with them I did SL in about three days. Only beacuse my computer had a tendency to freeze on me every now and then. if your on gorath send a tell to Ricco Cross or e-mail and I will be happy to train you up.

I think Rally is also a great ability and have noticed it really seem to help when it is up when several people are in the thick of combat. What it really does and how are a totally different subject and is very hard to figure out.

If you just get a couple of people together and go Piket, Quenker, Huurton, or Thunehunting on Dan that might be more your speed, unless you have no problem running into an Tusken Observer, Exicutioner, Sniper, or Warlord... or any number of new uber Tuskens. The Corvet is even harder really, but with a time limit.

If your not a heavy combat type then Quenkers might be more your speed, as you will get something like 3-4k for each one in xp with no real threat of getting killed if you have one mastered combat Profession or your buffed. Pikets will be a pain in the butt due to a higher chance for Mind hits, but they do not deathblow. Only rare Pikets (protectors) and Quenkers (relic) will DB, and that is what I consider best bang for your buck to really enjoy the Profession and learn it. This is great for someone with a buddy or two they go hunting with.

It also depends on the number of people who go with you. More the better, but the bigger critter is needed. At that point, if say you have 5-8 people, you might be best off going Graul hunting on Dan. You should get around 10k a Graul. They do DB and they cause bleeds, but nothing else really. This is good for a group that size who are all med level characters and if you just have a medic with you. If you have someone that can cure poison, go after lizards as well, as you will get good xp from them.

For this, you don't even have to take a ton of missions, but the Quenker/Huurton missions will net you around 5-7k, the Pikets/Thunes will be around 9k, and the Graul I think around 12k. Great cash for a afternoon of hunting with say 5 guys with only a medic and no buffs. Your medic will probally get a ton of xp though, but so should you.

Well i was doing Vorritor Hunters on Dant in a group of about 9...and was getting around 20k per kill..wasn't that hard to kill those things either, and they don't bleed or anything.

thinking of making a group for fort tusken today when i get home though.

If you are just interested in Mastering another profession and then move on, then SL is easy. There are claims of it being mastered in a matter of hours.

The trick is actually playing the profession. SL is a play style. It is about leading groups..often groups with vastly different personalities that require a great deal of real life leadership ability to keep together. This can be one of the most rewarding professions in the game if you want to play it as such. I have been a SL since August and have a great time "playing the part" and have no intention of dropping the skills. However, you must understand that your actual players skills that you earn via your SL XP are quite lacking. The /sys messages are good for coordination, /formup is great for dizzy/stun but thats about it. If you search the forum you will find posts from people who have come up with great ways to utilize some of the other meager skills but don't expect any great things from your SL character just because it is now a SL. A good SL character is good because the player behind it has natural leadership or organizational abilities.

Decide if you want to play the part and best of luck to you.
