Thread: Who Else Misses Them?
I agree 100% with what has been said so far. Heck, far as I am concerned SL should have 5 followers.
Here is the big problem with why they (DEVs) took it away from what I understand...3 AT STs.
Problem was is that they needed to do the same thing that they did with CH (x number of creatures at x amount of points with a total cap of x). I personally feel that SL + Rank would increase the total cap points to either give you more higher quality troops or more lesser quality troops. Not a hard concept... play any minature game that is points based. I have a post on neutral SL on my suggestions for the DEVs to make neutralfollowers avaible to take advantage of this system.
With this system you can make a cap that you can't have more than 1 AT ST (which would make the Rebs happy) but you could field 1 and have 2-4 troopers as support of that AT ST.
But hey, we are dealing with people (DEVs) who can't understand a simple concept of putting a discription tab so you can see what the heck your buying ora form of trade-in feature (even at a reduced cost) so incase you get a troop (or item) that you spend your hard earned faction points on that you do not want or is no longer needed. God know that with the current system I am stuck with 2 ST medics and a AT ST. Those troopers no longer see the light of day, so why can't I trade them in for faction points to help me get something else?
I wont even go into that I can get an entire guy in ST armor with a weapon for 420 fps but it cost me 17.5k fps to get that same suit. Boy that really sucks when a peice of that suit falls apart too... I think I could come up with a better system out of a cracker jack box. Idiots, talk about totally missing the boat on the whole faction set up. Oh well, guess that isn't an important part of the game.

BLKTOM - Well put...i have been silent on the boards, and Iam mixed between SL as a Player Helper Profession, and a Human Handler Profession. I think SL needs to havea Faction Pet bonus, and having limits aswell (like only 1 AT-ST at a time,up to3 Storm troopers at a time.). Neutral Players should also be able to aquire Troopers of some sort.
giving us just 3 troopers will keep the SL profession balanced. I know i will still group with actual players, but when i have no group, this will allow me to go have some fun with my squad.

I wouldn't say that the Rebel faction pets are worthless, I don't know what you guys are able to requisition, but I assume that the troopers are comparable to the Imperial troops. The mainadvantage I think that the Imperials have as far as faction pets are concerned are the AT-ST and the Darktrooper. I've never had the pleasure of commanding an AT-ST crew, but I plan on buying enough faction points to do so with the money I make from hunting. I usually keep one or two troopers in my datapad whether I use them or not. I'll tell you what though, those stormtroopers have saved my life on more than one occassion.
