Me and a group of about 15 ppl or so went to the DWB. I had my Master SL titled up...I never got leadership.
No respect.

Their loss is how I would view that.

A lot of ppl think that when you transfere the leadership automatically the groupleader must be leading the group. For the DWB only for opening the first door this is realy necessary.
I often become groupleader without leading the group, leaving this difficult job to a more experienced player just putting up the commands of him on /sys.
I went twice to the DWB so far (both with my guild).
One time not as group leader since our guild leader had the quest and later we were to busy to transfer the groupleader ship back to me.
The second time as groupleader but still not leading the group since our guild leader had prepared himself for the job. Since im not a high damage wielder nor a tank, I was "spamming /sys" a lot but it was to get the commands from our guildleader to the rest of the group.
We were a full group and /sys is definitly better to coordinate groups since not everybody is watching groupchat in the middle of a fight. Even with a well experienced group I would never want to miss the passive defenses we as MSL give. Everybit is needed down there. Tell them that they "stack" on top of their current defenses. The tanks will certainly vote to have you at least as groupleader for these defenses.
The problem I see in the DWB is that spatial chat/emoticons causes SBDs and BDs to spawn and that most of your commands are tied to spatial chat. I couldnt use any form up to take the weight off of our three docs clearing stun and dizzy =( .
Still I had a lot of fun there took a 64MB in screenies while I helped coordinating the group.
I'll hope you can convinve them next time to be at least the groupleader ...
/thumbs up!

And whats wrong with spamming /sys?
Im probably the most organized person with /sys now.. I use macros with a /sys for every other command I use. Letting people know what youre doing definetly helps keep everyone alive.
Color coding helps too... Red for attacking, Blue for defense commands, Purple for /retreat..
So I guess I spam /sys... in a good way

MSL need to get more respect than they do, i thought about going that way after the CU since SWG seems to be going more to grouping after that. Heck I would love to have a MSl down in DWB with me but like was said. it was there loss, ya should of said some thing alos, not a lot of people look at titles

Here's what I said, "I'm a Master Squad Leader if you make me leader I can cure dizzy and add some extra defense".
No response. We had 4 Jedi knights in the group, one of them later said, "make him leader". No one made me leader, I was kinda upset because I only lvled Squad leader to help ppl out...I could of been much stronger picking another profession.
Maybe it will be better after CU.

Considering we make ppl go over the caps yes, many ppl in game are very ignorant when it comes to us leading groups, I guess they just think we'll spam /sys all the time.

Being from Bria myself and being a MSL i know what you mean. People on Bria can be complete A**Holes, but if you get out there and get a reputation as a good SL people will make you leader. I know because i did that and people wanted me to lead there groups for PvP or higher level places.

that thing is wrong.
The only time talking in spatial in the DWB is a bad thing is when you are doing the droid part of one of the quests.
Anyone who says that talking in spatial just spawns more SBDs is just trying to keep you quiet.

He's right, spatial makes no difference.
Im a master squad leader, our group has crafted 2 of the 5 jetpacks currently on Naritus, and we are getting the parts for more.
My team is more than grateful for Retreat!, Boost Morale, and Form up. Not to mention the extra 30 melee/ranged defense.
I spam form up rahter often, it hasnt caused an aggro yet.
