I have spent the past couple of weeks reading many emails from those with proposed SL fixes and how the developers should do this or that. Maybe we don't realize how effective we are? I would like to see a developer come out and defend the SL tree and explain why it is the way that it is. Perpahs our position is so difficult to put in terms of abilities because leadership is hard to define. So what is the devs idea of leadership and how it is fostered into a game ability?Once I see how the profession came to be, it would be easier to make effective critiques. My belief is that the devs have ignored most of these posts for new abilities because those abilities are attainable in other professions! If I were a dev I wouldn't run out and fix the SL profession by giving them weapon upgrades because they can get those by using trees in other professions and that was by design. One easy way to create a new ability that would encourage more SL is to give them the ability to better defend their faction HQ with a static increase to defense when in the base. Lets go outside the box to think of abilities that arent associated with other professions because that is the only way to make progress

I agree, I would like to see a post from the Devs explaining why we aren't gimped. Maybe we're just not thinking out of the box (although I find that hard to believe).

I don't think we'll see a post from the devs but even if they just gave some reasons to our corrospondant to relay to us, that would be lovely. Hell ANY communication from the devs on SL would be fantabulous!
