Thread: Fix for squad leader issues

I propose that they lower the skill point cost of being a squad leader.Squad leaderdoesn't have the return on investment that any other advanced proffession does and I don't see them giving us anything to make up for it any time soon. A nice easy way to make us all feel alot better would just be to lower the skill point cost and leave the proffession as is. This would allow us to get select trees from other professions and decide for ourselves what would make us more effective.

What no one has any input on this idea? No one agrees or disagrees... I have no problem with you disagreeing, just let me know why... I really would like someone elses thoughts on this please.

I guess I'll go ahead and disagree.


It sounds like work in the wrong direction to me. They'd have to change it to be less costly, and then eventually when it's fixed change it back to be more costly, and then they have to worry about people that are already at their skill point caps with squad leader skill that suddenly becomes higher.


I'd rather have those minds working on bug fixes and adding content to this profession.

I agree with Doremar


We need to work in the direction of enhancing the profession not demeaning it. The Squad Leader profession has great potential to create very powerful and useful characters. I am going to Master the profession and stick it out to the end. I know that the Devs will come around eventually.

Also disagree. I think they should make the levels harder in terms of XP neccesary AND raise the abilities of the SL to be useful maybe even essential in combat. I agree with the respondants...promote the profession!

I would have to disagree as well. I would like to see hard XP tree as well to discourage every average Joe to be a squad leader. But with benefits that are worth it.


I would also like to see SL XP based on the over all damage of the team instead of you own personal damage. I believe this would be similar to creature handlers. Put a cap on the amount of people the damage can count for so there is no exploit.




FIx the Squad Leader Profession Please!

They should give us the ablity to buff a players stats similar to the way doctors do. I should be able to give guys uber duber accuracy, or add 300 points to their max damage. At least thats a very simple way to fix us that'd give us some use to a team.
