Thread: The Last Skill we still have.
Went hunting with two buds of mine on Dantooine. We were all looking forward to wading through lairs of piket after piket. Walked 8k, realized that apparently the devs decided to nerf Dantooine and didn't tell anyone. Walked back to town, got missions. Arrived at the mission. Attempted to rally. It's gone. Attempted to volleyfire. Gone too. During the battle, one of the pets in the group got dizzy. Attempted to use formup. Doesn't affect pets. Afterwards, one of our members (the TKA) had a lot more wounds then anyone else, so I decided to boostmorale. It worked, but suddenly the TKA received an additional 80 stamina wounds. The wounds persisted until he drank something, then went away. So boostmorale is still screwy. My entire group had at least the exploration branches of scout. So much for terrain navigation. This leaves the SL with exactly 3 things. Defense mods, Steady Aim, and Retreat. Spammed retreat a few times. They didn't notice the difference. That leaves steady aim and defense mods. The defense mods work, Steady Aim works.Sysgroup also works. Are thosethree skills worth an entire hybrid elite profession? I wouldn't think so. Forget redesigning the SL tree, I know that's not happening any time soon. But would it be too much of a stretch for the (profanity deleted) developers to at least give us the inadequate piece of (reference to scatalogical object deleted) tree that we thought we were gonna get?
P.S. The stamina wounds from boostmorale are rare, but repeatable. Has something to do with pets and low vitality.
In a ranting mood. Tried to post, forum ate it, reposting, sorry if it's duped.
Extra tidbit: All the group members had high enough level elite combat professions that they didn't need SteadyAim at all, leaving me with the ranged defense mods (15% more likely the monster misses) and SysGroup, which is useless in well organized or small groups. When I said "Dantooine was nerfed", I was referring to the fact that there are hardly any non-mission animal spawns anymore, making cross-country hunting a bit of a joke. Back when Rally/Volleyfire worked, I had stat migrated my character to have high mind and action (to do the SL stuff) which necessarily implied a low health. This leaves my character unable to solo missions worth a **edit**, unless they're things like Durni lairs, and it's a good day. This means that I am perpetually poor, as high level people are well aware that SL only provides a 15% bonus, and would rather have armor or a skill enhancing attachment, because those don't "leech" their XP by occasionally shooting at the enemy. The ONLY way left for my character to make a living is to recruit a group of 19 low-level people, go to Dantooine, have them shoot the Pikets, and harvest the hides to sell on the bazaar. Can't do that anymore, Dantooine has no pikets that aren't missions, and having 20 people with different missions gets chaotic, due to the fact that the Squad Leader can't see which one is the closest and whatnot. So scratch that as a reliable source of income. There's a typo in the SL title. It says "Master Squad Leader", when it should read "Masochistic Theme Park Tour Guide". But the devs just closed the theme park (in this analogy, Dantooine). I need a hug. ![]()
For it to work 100% YOU must form the group. And still no signof SL fixes, despite it saying 14th Oct for a fix on the bug update list.
