I am currently working on the survival exp part of Squad Leader, I am on Survival 2, and need 3-4 to complete the pre-reqs for squad leader. Will anyone share some tips on how to get Survial exp fairly fast? Thanks alot everyone!

One way is to make one camp, and just sit there making camps in it for 25min. You pretty much max your time/xp at 25minutes, and you're getting xp for each camp you make.

Also, the more people visit your camp the faster the xp caps on the camp. So be sure to invite as many friends and guildmates to come help you out as possible. Even the occassional "/bellow Hey! Aspiring Squad Leader needs Survival XP. Do me a favor and run through my camp at ... Thanks!" can help get this moving along.

Alternately, and favorably, just get a good hunting group together and ask the leader to make sure you get opportunities to pop camps when possible....that's what it's their for, anyway.

Teaming up with an adventuresome entertaineror healercan help bring people into your camp as well. Advertise a camp that's giving away buffs or offering healing, and people will coming knocking!

As another alternative (if your'e strapped for time) get a bunch of bone and hide and grind survival XP.

You get a little more than 2x the number of resources you put into a camp as experience:

10 hide + 5 bone = 15 resources = ~30 survival XP per camp

So for 36000 survival XP, you need about 12000 hide and 6000 bone.

Look on the crafter (weaponsmith, artisan, chef, etc.) board for grinding macros, and you can get the necessary XP in about 2 hours of double clicking.

Yea I am in the same boat as you my friend, I just dropped my Master Commando and started my CH /SL and needed survival. So I have a macro that I use when I am at work, and it makes camp and I sit there for 30 minutes and remake camp, and it starts all over again. I also found out how to remove teh autolog when you go inactive, and that lets me stay logged in all day in a camp when I am at work, or I am sleeping. I might just post this macro for you guys, see is you like it!

I did something similar to that, just set up a camp, then 30 mintues later or so put up another one, and just did it all night while I slept. How did you turn off the autolog to keep from getting booted? I ended up setting up a macro (ironically called ANTI-BOOT) in which every 5 to 15 minutes I'd do something small and stupid (sneeze, cry, mourn, stomp, laugh, comment on the weather, beg god to let the cubs win the playoffs) just something for the comp to kick me out of my /afk status and keep me from getting booted.

In the Ctl+O gui there is a check for autolog, you just unclick it and youare good to go. I still put a random messege or /slap self in the face, or yell for ppl to come see me, in the macro. It works great! It was actually made by a guild member and we have been using it to grind. We wil have multiple members log out to go home, and we ask them to stay logged in and we just run the macro where they are and get the extra XP!
