Squad Leader Archive
Thread: my vision of the SL tree ( reworked for your pleasure )
I've made a custom SL tree
I'm open to all CONSTRUCTIVE suggestions
I'm also open to any naming suggestions
-abilities are in green
-branch, novice and master title aer in yellow
-skill boxes are in red
NOVICE
-good ol' /sys command ( with selectable color, not only a system message )
-+15 to group camping, gives healing bonus to all camps the SL is in
FIRST BRANCH ( innate leadership)
*first box*
-group terrain negociation +25
-group ranged defence +15
*second box*
-melee defence +15
-HAM cost decrease by 15%
-+15 group camping
*third box*
same as first box, total +50 terrain negociation and +30 ranged defence
*fourth box*
same as second box, total of HAM decrese :+30% and melee defence +30
-+15 group healing, provide bonus to all heals gave by the group members
SECOND BRANCH
*first box*
-rally command : same as now but also
*second box*
-monitor coordinates : the SL can use the /monitorcoords (xxxx, yyyy) to send an active waypoint for all his group members, usefull for setting a rally or regroup point
*third box*
-force conjunction : the squad leader can bring the radial menu on any other leader of another group and select the combine forces option, this create a new tab for all group members to switch from the first to the second group, usefull to see who need healing on big hunt/raid party or to organize task force
*fourth box*
inspiration:A single group member can be inspired to great feats granting a temporary stat buff ( from Indicant's post )
THIRD BRANCH ( field organisation )
*first box*
-designate medic : the /designatemedic command allow the SL to bring a flashy, medical looking, icon over the head of the selected players, designating them as medic. This allowa damagedplayer to easily spot a medic for quick healing
*second box*
-designate wounded : the SL can use the /setdamagestatus (%) to set at which % of lostHP a player will have a "need medical attention" icon over his head, making them easily spotable for medics. The icon also apear in the group tab
*third box*
-designate target : the /designatetarget command bring a red column of light ( similar to WP light ) on the designate target, therefor designating it as the primary target
*fourth box*
-covering fire : this powerfull SL ability direct the fire of all non-attacking player of the current selected target of the squad leader. The confusion resulting in this concentration of firepower in one direction make all the surounding ennemies lower position ( like supression fire)have chances to knockdown some surrounding ennemies ( around 40% )
FOURTH BRANCH ( stances)
*first box*
-steadyaim : same as now but work as long as player are in kneel/crouch position
*second box*
-assault : the/assault command give a damage and accuracy while moving bonus to all group members
*third box*
-hold this point : the /holdpoint command gives a huge defence and firing speed bonus to all group members, also reduce their moving speed and accuracy while moving, making them wanthold position
*fourth box*
-complete thrust : the group members have acquire a complete thurst in their leader, giving them a passive mind armor and regeneration bonus, does not affect the squad leader
MASTER
-Surprise attack : this powerfull PvP ability make the squad leader and his group invisible to radar, this powerfull ability would be very usefull in PvP for surprise attacks
Like i said, i'm open too all CONSTRUCTIVE critics, complain, request...
I think this tree would make SL a LOT more usefull, I tried to make it the more resonable as possible, also giving them usefull gestion abilities
-end of briefing-
yeah, trust ![]()
this was one of my previous post, I just pasted it, and kept the mistakes hehe

/aimfor?
can you give explanation of it?
I'd imagine something like /painttarget, whereas a big arrow appears over the target a SL designates supposedly so evyone will concentrate on that target
/AimFor is a concept for a new Tactical Combat ability similar to /volleyfire, but allows Squad Leaders to point out a weakpoint in the enemy and target the specific HAM pool to finish off the opponent.
This ability has been demonstrated by Leaders inevery Star Wars movie to date... In Episode I, the target was the Droid Control Ship. In Episode II, Anakin advised everyone where to hit the command ships for greatest effect. In Episode IV, the target was the Death Star's main exhaust port. In Episode V,Rogue Squadron Leader commanded"Use your harpoons and tow cables!" In Episode VI, the target was the Death Star's reactor core. ...There iscertain conjecture that in Episode III,that a certainLeaderwill be looking for a certain young Jedi's weakspot too.

So close enough to my /designatetarget
instead of an arrow I though of a light column ( waypoint-like) of a different color ( orange/blue are already used ) which would move over the target as it moves
