Hey there you lucky dog you! SL is the second to easiest elite profession next to ID, and here is how you go about completing this easy mastering... First off, get yourself buffed to the gills, and get hopped up on some muon. Next go to Fort Tusken and get in a group, the larger the better. The XP flows like rain, it's so godamned easy to do, just run around and kill the Sand People. I mastered SL in roughly 3 days timespan. The formula is: (combat xp) x 2 x (number of people in group) = SL xp. There are other ways to do it, but for some reason in the Tusken Fort i get SL xp when I'm not even killing anything, it rocks...I use the SL abilities, I don't think they work at all (bugged), but I use them anyway, the group gets a kick out of it. Hope this helps!

The formula isn't quite that simple, but it's close. It's related on the combat XP gained by everyone in the group, not just your own. That's why you get SL XP even when you're not fighting. I've heard that the squill caves now are the hot place to go, since they boosted up the tuskens a bit with the last big publish.

As for the SL Abilities, they all work. Just alot of them have very useless or barely-noticable effects (or effects slightly different from their description).

Step 1: Form Group.

Step 2: Kill things.

Step 3: Train.

Step 4: Repeat 1-3 untill master.

Step 5: Leave this profession before you give us a bad name.

Jesus man, what a bitter monkey... You really want to know why I am leaving SL? Because when I got it for my holocron, I said 'Neat, I have always wanted to try this prof., despite it's shortcomings anddue to it's potential for SWG,'. So I start to read the forums and see nothing but whining, bitching and moaning about how bad SL sux, and how bad all of you diehard SL's hate everyone else. This is the most depressing class forum I have ever seen, and you just proved to me why being a SL isn't worth it. I like incorporating the forums into the classes I take up, but not here bro, not ever...

Squad Leader is the easiest, combat related, profession to master? Agreed.

The problem is that the holo crew comes in, asking all the same questionsand telling us how things should be done. Now this is a thorn in every profession forums side, but since our population is so low and post count is equaly low, this stuff just doesnt sink to the bottom.

A large group of us are working hard on creating a better profession with ideas and proposals and personaly those are the type of posts I would like to see on this board. Its just hard to explain to everyone that the profession is broken and that unless you spend some time learning how the current specials work you will see it as a waste of time as well.

And Infra don't be discouraged... If you like leading squads then keep looking on these boards every once in a while to see whats new. We are going to get some great changes, it just takes time.

If SL experience is based on the rest of the Squad's Combat XP, or XP in general. Do people who have maxed thier xp limits not contribute?

It's based on the amountof Combat XP they would have normally earned. So even if they're capped, their contribution is still counted.

Want to hear about the old Kudaark? huh?
Vangeance he seeks from those who took away his Loved One
But never an innocent or a helpless one will he harm
For he is a Protector, fearsome and fearless in battle
In the name of Freedom he sways his Justice

I'm a holo SL, but I'm not coming here to whine, bitch and moan

What awesome potential for this profession, and I truly thank you all for the input and insight into this profession. I've grown to love it. My PA is hooked now, and they don't want me to drop it :-) I'm having great fun with our nightly Rancor Raids, getting awesome xp, and being the savior of the group when the entire melee staff gets Dizzied! I'm just sad that I've not had the occasion to call retreat yet!
