not thinking of dropping BE or anything, but was mayber thinking of checking out squad leader. My question is, how broken are you guys? Is it so bad you aren't even playable?

Why would you pick up SL? As bad as BE may be...you can make pets right? People may not buy them but you can make them. What can SL do? We can rally for little noticeable effect and we give Terrain Negotiation. Our passive group defenses apparently work but where before they were quite significant now compared to the defenses someone gets for an elite combat class they are pitiable. If you want a new way of flashing messages up on someones screen then take Novice SL and that's it...for now. Rumor has it we are getting a look from the Devs. Rumor also has it that Elvis is alive. You decide what's true and what's only rumor...

Y'know I was thinking that Squad Leader might actually be one of the least broken professions in the game.... After all, we only have like 6 commands that are broken, and the ones that are broken aren'treally effective in the first place so it's not like those ones matter anyway. We've still got...Oh wait!! We only have 6 commands + /sysgroup in the first place! Um... Hmm.

Seriously, is Squad Leader broken to the point of unplayable? Well...um...it IS possible to lead groups as a Squad Leader. ...But it's also possible to lead groups as an Image Designer, that doesn't mean your profession is doing anything to help! /sysgroup works and is a handy tool for a leader, everything else is either broken or hardly worth anything.

That is not to say that people have not found a WAY to play and enjoy being a Squad Leader... But if you want to be a Squad Leader, you should be aware that the profession currently does not do very much to help.
