Thread: Stow the drama soldier! TH, meet us in the trenches to fix this profession.

that's my point in this thread exactly. I can't count the number of times I've logged on, and in the update text box I see "fixed an issue where bounty hunter.........." how may fixes will BH's get before other professions get fixes? I understand that they are the majority of players, but I doubt that's on purpose. I think that LOTS of the BH players would be something else if the "something else" worked as well as BH.
There's been WAY too much drama in here lately, and at the end of the day it's not accomplishing anything. People flaming TH and backing Captain V, people backing TH and criticizing Captain V. Either way, all I have to say is, who cares? At the end of the day our profession is in serious need of repair, and the fact is we know little about what is currently being done to fix it. The rest of the armchair quarterbacks in this forum are wasting time and energy on asking for resignations and perpetuating negativity.
I'm a Squad Leader, and I'd like to see my chosen profession repaired so I can feel proud of my contribution to my group, so I can enjoy playing the profession. I'd also like to see this done in a timely manner. I've invested time into attaining this profession, I would hope that TH and the folks at SOE are in turn devoting some time to ensuring that this time i've spent has not been a complete waste. But when people start focusing on b.s. issues about who posted what link where, and who should resign for what reasons - we're wasting EVERYONE'S time.
I refuse to sit idlely by and watch what could be a good profession, a fun endeavour, become flushed down the toilet because of a bunch of whiny sucks who can't get on board and assist in the process. Sure we all agree that we'd like to be a little more "in-the-loop" with what SOE plans to do, or is currently doing with our profession, but at the same don't forget who sets the timetable here. It's SOE, not us. And If I was at SOE, i'd say "The hell with you all, let's just put this annoying group to bed" and deprecate the whole SL profession completely.
So TH, I propose this, meet us in the trenches in the DMZ, give us some insight as to a timeline for fixes to our profession. Be general, be honest, I could care less if you said February because as they say in G.I. Joe "knowing is half the battle". As an SL i'm willing to assist in anyway I can, be positive, and contribute, but this has to be a joint effort from BOTH SIDES. Many of us will refuse to bang our heads against a brick wall if there is ZERO communication from the folks at SOE regarding our profession. And I would dare say TH would rather spend time assisting a group of individuals that simply followed directions as he's asked, and returns positive, concise, constructive feedback. I'm not saying this hasn't been done, but it only takes one or two AWOL soldiers to ruin the morale of the entire Squad.
So, I ask that we work with TH and I ask that TH work with us - productively, efficiently, and in a timely manner. Stow the drama soldiers! Paint the target, and finish the mission!

Well, I'll give the benefit of the doubt. If no response at all is given this week, I'll feel differently. Sitting in the corner and pouting about it is not going to get us anywhere. When someone doesn't pick up the phone, you call again.

Obviously previous requests have fallen on deaf ears, but what I'm saying is asking for resignations and being negative in general is not going to fix our problems. We don't have the same number of people as BH's or Pistoleers. So a handful of people yelling in a corner is just annoying, not a motivator to get anything done. If complaining in this forum hasn't done anything at all, then perhaps utter silence is an option. I prefer to take a couple more kicks at the can before throwing in the towel.
We do have another option, we simply surrender the profession en masse and leave it unused if we feel zero is being done. There are plenty of other professions to choose from in a greater state of usability.
