Squad Leader Archive
Thread: Be Careful What You Ask For
We have been crying forSOE attention since launch. It looks like we got it, but not exactly in the way we wanted. The mods have apparently found the SL forum. Three threads closed, plus the one in the Chef forum, in 24 hours. We are being watched. ![]()
Seriously, Mods, please considerforwarding good threads in this forum to the appropriate DEVs. If you do that, please let us know that you've done that. That would go a long way toward soothing the hard feelings on the forum resulting from the TH Capt V. incident.
Also, I would humbly suggest that now is not the time to take a heavy hand with respect to this forum. The SLs are furious. By closing threads, you will only multiply the frustration. Deleting the thread title, "Once again. DELETE THIS POS CLASS I'm a master squad leader and I"m a joke....", was not necessary. That thread represents the well consdered opinion of many, if not most squad leaders. The TH resigantion post was a little much you were right to close it, but closing this one seems more like suppression of dissent than keeping the board orderly.
I absolutely agree with open discussion on this forum. In fact, I try and post questions every once in a while, just to get people thinking and discussing. However, abusive flaming nad outright hostility aren't open discussion.
Getting a thread closed gathers the attention of only the forum admin Jeassa...it does NOTHING to help get information (positive or negative) to the developers.
Everyone, please keep the discussion on topic and leave the flaming and trolling for somewhere else. ...heck, if you wanna use negative reinforcement to help the Squad Leader profession, troll somewhere else...like a profession that you think is getting TOO MUCH dev love. ![]()
Waitasec, strike that. I'm not advising anyone to spam or troll...I'm just saying that if you insist on doing damage, do it someplace else. We're hurting enough already!
I agree, we ought to stay positive and I'll try to do my part on that front. My point was only that closing threads creates more negativity than itstops.
And congrats Thullium. Good luck.
