Keep in mind that captial ships such as frigates & SD's will be NPC controlled, so there wont be any commander profession. Mabye a squad leader variant helping your group out, but not a commander.

Maybe you can use /rally while you are flying your X-Wing. Course you won't be able to harvest the capital ships you kill, but it still might give +2 or +3 to your attack!

Won't work, DiLune. You know you can't /sit while rallied, so how are you supposed to fit yourself into a cockpit?

I'm guessing 4 will be a ship mechanic (one who mods/fixes pre-built ships.)

I would think they would do it like this:

1. Pilot (beginner profession)

2. Ace Pilot (elite profession requires mastery ofbeginner pilot profession)

3. Starship Designer (elite profession requires master artisan)

4. Armament Engineer (elite profession requires engineering 4)

I think they'll have pilot broken up into a novice and an elite profession to separate the dabblers from the hard core combat pilots. You probably won't get certification to something like an x-wing til the novice box of the Ace Pilot profession. The Starship Designer is a no-brainer. I think all the combat add-ons to space craft will be built by a separate profession. Giving the power to create starships as well as all the weapons and extras in one profession would be too much I think. I see Starship Designers relying on other crafting professions more than any of the other professions we've seen. For example, astromech droids and navicomputers could be provided by Droid Engineers, the pilot's seat provided by a Tailor, the frame provided by an Architect, etc. That would be cool.

To keep this post on topic, I think SL should be able to provide bonuses to accuracy and defense as they do now.

A buddy who usually has pretty reliable information told me that there is going to be a squadron leader (as in wing commander or something similar). In fact, that's why I'm visiting your boards today. I just got novice squad leader and thought you guys might know something about it. Anyone heard anything similar?
