There is flaming on both side. But here you can post your own ideas and whether or not you like the idea of extra NPC support.


Keep it clean and no flaming. Let everyone speak for themselves.

I don't want NPC handling to become the focus of the Squad Leader, but I think the topic merits further discussion and refinement.

I don't even know how the whole NPC idea got started. Give us better group buffs and bonuses not stupid NPC's that will die in 3 seconds in any kind of a real fight!

I have always seen Squad Leader as a profession that makes the fellow players more effective and as such a profession that will make people want to group to get the most out of their own character. Making us NPC handlers will only create a ceraitntype of SL-solo players and the fun element of a good group will be even more rare than it already is in this game.


No, give us more to give to the group of players, at most we can give a better attack and defense bonus to faction pets grouped in, but the focus should be on player enhancements and military officer perks.

By giving us group bonuses they're making us better at 'handling' players and npcs by making us better at leading the squad



SL is designed for making the best use of group-leader status, no matter what is in the group... BUT as a proffesion has absolutely nothing to do with what is in the group... thats down to a personal choice of the group leader & shouldnt be imposed on people. So if a squad leadermakes a personal desicion that only players will be in his group, then he/she should be able to give them a great advantage in combat, but if a squad leader decidesthat he/sheisgoing to take up CH or buy some faction pets & fill their group with npcs then they should be able to give them the same advantage in combat.

I'd also like to point out that if we did get npc handling abilitiesit'd be based on CL lvl.. and as with CHmost people wouldjust use one of our best pet rather than several weaker ones (because its more effective) & that isnt leading a squad at all, its having a mate around.
