Having chosen Squad Leader as my most preferred profession from the outset, I mastered it within a couple of months and have held onto it until now, hoping for a rewrite that would make it worthy of the title of "Squad Leader." I watched these boards and our correspondent get completely ignored by TH and the devs. The SL community is one of the most patient and innovative groups of players within SWG, and it makes me sick to see them treated that way. I haven't been around these boards much since Vem's resignation, but from what I've seen there's not been much reason to. In the Top 5 responses all I see are intangible promises and vague references to the future of the profession.

Today I surrendered the last of my SL skills, moving on to master a profession that will make me much more useful to my guildmates and my cause. The responses from TH and the devs in the Top 5 thread only solidified my feelings that there are still more than a few months before SL becomes a useful profession. I hope I'm wrong. I really hope they see as I do and all the people I play with do--Squad Leader should absolutely be the strongest combat support profession in the game.

/salute to all of you who have been here from the start and will continue to work hard to fight for SL's everywhere. Unfortunately, player cities have heated up the GCW to heights we'd only dreamed of, and it's much too fun for me to miss out on b/c I cling to a broken profession.

And I bet in less than a few weeks, you'll be kicking yourself for giving it up. Thats just my opinion though.
