Thread: cant do a back slash

hi guys


I'm new to Squad leader and i read your forum with interest

when i came to colour my commands i found my \ key doesnt work in the game

Works everywhere else, any ideas?

(i just know i will get a whole load of silly ones as well

make sure you are using \#(numbers)


for red would be \#CC0000


this also doesn't work in spatial


it only works in group, guild, planet, and /system

Do you live outside of the US? I've heard rumors that non-US keyboards don't always type the \ character correctly.

Edit: yup, thought I'd seen this before. I dug up an old post by our lovely correspondent on the issue:
