I fancy becoming a squad leader,
Currently grinding surival atm so that i can take it up.
So can anyone answer some simple questions...
Where are the squad leader trainers...
What are the bonus's?
How does this effect be grinding my jedi ?
Do rebel and imperial have diffent bonuses?
Thank You

Welcome aboard, yadda yadda yadda, etc.
SL trainer in Bestine, near the shuttle port.... only one I remember, lol.
Bonus: umm, stuff, umm, skill list, too lazy to state it myself, etc.
Grinding Jedi, ya mean FS xp? Plus: can gain SL while gaining weapons XP, but only have a 90:1 ratio.
Faction doesn't change bonuses.

I dont realy like the idea of melee SL's. If you are gonna take it for the FS xp grind then its good, but if you are gonna do it to help your group it is not a good way to go.
Once you get dizzy you can not use form up, this is why SLs should keep in the back and use the skills they have, and a range prof works with this very good!
Sure you can take alot of beating as melee, but thats not realy the point of sls.
thats just my opinion tho

personally, im going tkm/SL and i will be spending most of my time hidden away in a house or something within range, i can just meditate away the groups wounds while issuing the formups and all other commands plus getting a ton more bonuses to the melee defs i already have.

I'm a MSL / M Fencer and it's a awesome combination for defense. I can hold my own with a jedi long enough for back up to arrive and with the visibility that I and possibly a couple other SLs have given this profession on Chili I am most often targeted first so the defenses come in handy. I'll usually charge in and get a couple enemies to follow me back to where a large portion of my group is waiting to ambush. Also my accuracy isn't as badly affected by movement as a ranged prof would be in a similiar scenario. So while leading a group while rallied with Center of Being macro running I am the hardest target to hit on the field.
Just wanted to provide an alternate view of this.

I never thought of it that way, I am a rifleman and just grinding on surv for SL should have it today. I believe there is a trainer in Moenia as well. I have a waypoint saved i will look next time. I have always wanted to become a SL and heard horror stories when I first started the game but have worked for it anyways, I am glad to hear that there people doing good in this profession and that there is improvements being made. I hope this will help my guild out greatly since we are currently rebuilding. Thanks for the great uplift of hope guys I will be on here more often knowing there is a bunch of good people helping this profession out.

Well, maybe this is just how it's worked with me; but with msot of my guild being heavy in melee i've gone carbineer. Stick back with a nasty kd and let them do their work while i keep 'em strong.
