Somethings been bothering me that finnally got me off my butt enough to want to register and post.
Been playing SL for about a month now. Master Carb, BH carb line, and 3,0,4,4 SL.
Ive had great fun pvping with this set up and pve is not bad either.
The other day on Naritus i noticed the opposing pvp imp group was using a covert, seemingly AFK, SL spamming steady aim. Now ive noticed ive gotten a TEF a time or two using rally while grinding at FT Tusken, but that appears to be the only way a SL TEF's. So an overt group can use a covert SL to get all the melee and range bonus, all the retreats, boost morale, etc. and the dang SL never gets a TEF.
Has anyone else let the devs know that this is complete fildercarp. It sure would be nice in real world combat if a leader could be as safe as a covert SL in an overt group(but dont let this sentence get the thread going in a real world-game world debate).
Almost forgot to suggest a fix- someone in your group TEF's u TEF, seems simple.

Love that word.Yes it has been an issue. As a community we don't want to see SL become AFK Spam bots. Currently Rally is the only special that gives a TEF. But as Panzer has said on these boards "If you're in, YOU'RE IN" and many of us feel that should be the case.

Wella SL should not get a tef as he/she is only giving direction to the squad on what to do, in most games and in RL.
Maybe with volley fire or something being the exception to the target the is being targeted by the SL, and oh yeah Volley fire does work very well against jedis, with ranged weapons:

While generally i dont think its a good idea to bring real life into discusions about SWG. If as a platoon leader or squad leader in combat i mananage to identify the fool giving orders and inspiring his men to more effectively kill my men, well hell, i think ill do everything i can to waste the bast.. dude.
In combat, leaders are a natural target. Soldiers with radios, and tracks with extra antenas get lots of extra love on the battlefield.
If were going to apply the RL test to SWG, not only would the SL TEF when someone in his group is fighting, but everyone else in the group should TEF as well.
Just imagine ur on a patrol in iraq mixing it up with a squad sized element of rouge ICDC forces (iraqi civil defence Corps). But only half the group is shooting at your fire team. Their Squad leader is trying to hide behind the church while yelling orders and directing the group not shooting at u to envelop u from the side.
Do u
a. continue to shoot only at the group firing at u, ignoring the obvious leader and the team working its way to your flank.
or
b. do i even need to bother... wasting the offending leader and the maneuvering fire team.
noone reading this would pick a, so case closed on the Real life aspect of this thread.

nice of u to come here and complain about my alt ragnar.......
the whole idea for my alt oro is to make him master TK/ master Squadleader. I can meditate while shouting commands in any form of combat either pvp or pve and do on macro the moral command....

You are not the only one who does this. I started the thread after seeing SGtBob do it not u. Check the date. But I did respond to your thread on the Naritus forums, your "my thoughts on having a SL alt".
In case u missed it, i said,

as a SL that has sent u tells in game that may have been unkind, i just want tosay here that SL BOTs are in the game. While it may be my desire to have the devs give a SL a TEF whenever a member of the SL group is in combat with an overt, that is not the case and u are playing the SL within the rules of the game.
That said, i mentioned this template after i sent u a flame tell so u may have ignored it.

With this template u can actually play your SL in pvp and not be a BOT though u wont be a master and will not have steady aim. So maybe some other template would work for u.
Something else i thought of, since i dont complain, no whine, about afk entertainers maybe i shouldnt whine about SL Bots, hmmm.
