Squad Leader was the first of the elite professions I ever mastered. I spent a few months on it. I loved the roleplaying, and when people told me I was a good leader I stayed with it.
Then I got tired of waiting for a revamp, and then with jedis and hologrinding, I no longer had friends or guildmates to go hunting with.
Anyway, I have been a bounty hunter ever since. The jedi stuff and hologrinding causing me to take up my guns and kill all the jedi. It is a good challenge and very satisfying.
Now, the combat upgrade is soon. SLs will become a good part of combat and I can go back to the profession that I've always loved. Also, having Master Squad Leader just tops any other title.
I always wanted to go back to SL before the revamp.
Now I don't know if I want to go back
I have a much better guild now, and they need a SL. I can be MBH/MSL...sounds tempting. I'm an MBH/Rifleman now...
Anyone else having insecurities about going back?

Personally, I would have a problem going back, since I never left it in the first place
Anyway, I'd like to respond to your question with a couple of points to sink your teeth in:
* The grind to SL would probably end up being longer after the revamp.. soan early start is also a good one.
* I'll agree with you on the fact that the Master Squad Leader title is just plain cool.
I've been assigned the "Squadron Leader" of my guild, and my master title simply highlights it. However, the title only as valuable as the effort I put into it. I hope all this waiting for the revamp will finally pay off.

I mastered SL on my way to MBH (back when you couldn't do both) dropped it, and as soon as they changed the pre-reqs for BH, I got my guild together, went to FT Tusken and got my title back. So I mastered SL twice while grinding BH.
When I walk arounf I wear the Field Commander tag all the time.

LOL
Enough! I became a BH to make sure there would be more Squad Leaders than Jedi.
I guess my only hope to accomplish that is to be MSL/MBH. Yes, Master a profession that implies doing things alone (BH) and a profession that its very title says you cannot do it alone. Hurray for opposites!

Wow, I guess I'll no longer be the only person with that template.

I have nothing but love for MSLs. One day, the MSL/MBH template will rise up and take revenge on the melee professions!
