Thread: Staff officer?

I have an odd idea. Just wondering what you all think.

Basically it is to be a staff officer. Master Squad Leader, Master ID (have to go to all those parties and look good in a uniform), novice medic to support the troops, FS Luck, FS Pursuaision (had to be lucky and know how to play the system to get their rank). Uses a DL17 Carbine as self defense weapon. In base defense I would man the turrets and send out group commands, leading from the bunker.

Basically I am not a fan of the ground combat game and am looking for a way to particapate while I wait for JTL. I love the social and rp parts of the game and like being an ID. Is this template totally stupid, interesting but useless, or a stroke of brilliance. If you were to do this would you wait unit you were a Colonel first. Thoughts?

Likewise are Faction Points determined by the amount of damage you do or simply that you attacked a target? Do turret attacks count toward your FP?

LMK what you think.

No, actually I believe FP is based on whatever you are fighting. It's like if you solo a creature, it has a certain amount of experience. Same with FP. Obviously, you don't get the reward if you don't kill them, and unless you drop all 3 of their HAM bars to 0, you did the max damage for 1 pool which is close enough. But for each single target, you get the same FP, usually based on difficulty.

Eehhh for your idea tho. Would be a fun template, but just sounds like it would be good for 1 officer to have and not them all. Admiral Ozzel sure could have used some ID in his time, maybe Vader wouldn't have killed him for being clumsy and stupid.

Yeah it is intended to be a RP/unique template not one for all. To clarify my question. It has seemd to me that fp is distributed evenly across the group no matter who did how much damage. As long as you hit the thing it seems to grant FP. I could be wrong about this, but it is just an observation. If anyone knows for sure if your FP is proportional to damage or not please letme know.
