Ok. I must first Say really good job on the Ideas guys. Im new to these forums for the most part and I am new to the SL profession. However, I just had my first real SL postion just yesterday and I must say It will be a fun class to play. In all fairness we really don't get many skills passive or active compared to other classes. We don't get any solo benefits in PVP etc. So technically we are the only class that can get better skills without people complaining. I mean are people gonna really complain if we get some great skills to help out parties? No. "I don't want the extra +30 ranged/melee defense." That being said. The short term changes that could happen for us could be pretty cool. Here are my ideas for like a complete SL. Yes I have taken Ideas from others. Basically this is a semi compilation of the proposal's thread.
-Leadership and Tactics tree should be combined. In essence they are very similar anyways, plus it would put both the ranged in the same group.
-Tactics should be replaced with something called Command Flight or something. Basically it Is a tree that will allow you to drop from a starship or shuttle.
-Strategy, Should have more bonuses, A group Ranged/Melee Attack bonus in the same lines as the defense bonus i.e. +10,+15,+5) We should also get something that was rather cool in planetside but when they get the GCW working, we could have a skills in this tree that allow us to contact other SL. Im not sure IF we should get a weapon or not. Something Like a M60 of starwars. Nothing too powerful just like one or 2 different weapons that fire fast and do decent enough damage for someone to want to use. And would work well with Volley Fire and what not.
Also Group Suppresion single, Group Supression area (single makes them go for one target area many targets.) Also Volley fire should give a small damage and accuracy bonus.
-Mobility- This tree set should have no current changes but additions. I think the fortifications Idea is good. However just limit it to like
trenches, and improved trenches. These just add accuracy bonuses and defense bonuses. (basically enough bonuses where you won't take more damage from a melee if you are kneeling or barely anymore if you are prone.) We should also get a basic walking speed increase. Think of it as your troops are marching not walking so the are going faster.

-Shuttle Drop-Allows group to take shuttle to get dropped withing 500 meters of a mission waypoint.(Active)
-Ship Speed +20-Increases Fighter's speed.(used for fighter parties in JTL wouldn't be implemented until then)(Passive)
*Flight Command II
