Im thinking of taking up SL...
Hows the xp gained? Is it when I use my SL skills to benefit the group, how does it work?
And what about solo groups? Will I get xp as long as Im leader?
Thanks!

itbasically works like this. you get XP when you are the leader of the group. you kill things for XP, using commands does not get ou XP, but the bigger the group the more XP you will get for a solo kill. but if you are in range of people on your map, you can get XP for what they kill too
hope that helps

so it doenst matter if Im master or novice, the amount of xp is based on the size of the group?

If I understand correctly it is based on the combined combat XP your group gets. So loading up on masters and taking them to dathomir to kill Enraged Rancors will yield it pretty quickly, but what I'd recommend is go to Fort Tusken. There is usually a city nearby (servers vary) that have a SL trainer and you can just stand at teh gate and load up on XP.
