Hi all. Currently a Rifles 0012/SL 1043. Switched from a M.Ranger/TKM. Been getting some good stuff out of these forums, made sure to read all I could find before posing any questions I may have had, and happy to report have none at the moment

I am in the primary Ranger guild on Shadowfire and while we have been toying with becoming more pvp proactive for the rebel cause I figured switching to SL to lead the Rangers could be an exceptional plan. I plan on my main pvp squad consisting of about 6-10 Master Rangers or Wayfarers at the least (Ranger 4000). As an Elite Squad for hit-and-run tactics.

Picture a fight engaged already, but soon 10 Master Rangers with their very long Burst Run capabilitiesfly into the back lines of an opposite faction, killing the Doctor's / CM's and CH's (very specific targets already chosen mind you), and then /retreat back out (The SL and Riflemen in Squad). Rangers with 150 Terrain Negotiation/150 Burst Run skills with SL4100 at the helm....(edit: higher still if you factor in chef products and skill tapes)

(Nevermind the fastest prone crawlers in the game when you add SL if they are riflemen to boot)

We'll see

I was talking with one of teh Leaders from Goon squad on Lowca teh otehr week about creating SL/Rifleman with a squad of nothing but rifleman to common target a gu in PvP and do pretty much one shot(well 20 shot) kills on teh guy.

Sounds like you want to do the same thing. Bravo. Tactics>spam.

I tried forming an all Master Rifleman group once... I couldnt find that many, normanythat were part of my faction.

Granted this was was in the early part of the game. I still think it holds merit.

Well the tactic is spamming. Sure it's the same attack from everyone, but they are still spamming master headshot. And if the group isn't spamming individually, then the SL must be spamming volleyfire. Even then not all shots are guaranteed to be at the mind (but most will hit that one given everyone is using rifles).

Well my point is that the tactic is the SL telling a group what to do. And getting his rifleman to work together. So it is in essence the SL saying "Target the _____. Ready....aim...fire!" Next target.

And Irott. Goon Squad is huge. I think he said they reached the guild limit, so it was definitely something he could do. I was also imagining SLs leading other professions as specialized units. It was fanciful dreaming for me since my guild is less than 10% of their size.

Won't be just rifleman though. Will include a pikeman, 2 CM's, and slew of TK's. The focus was that we are all Rangers. And can crawl / run better than any other. And have the longest duration burst running with an SL at the helm.

Oh think that could be really cool. Incorporate running attacks to get an advantage!! Nice!
