At the +40 bonus that exploration 3 gives you, I haven't seen even a hair of slowdown going up hills. It leaves me to wonder what the bonuses master scout, ranger, and the overkill bonus SL gets you actually does.

well for the ranger line, past +50 to terrain negotiation only improves crawling speed. from 0-50 it increases your running speed up hills, from 50-100 it improves your crawling speed. There is no speed boost to running speed from the Ranger skill line. I would assume the SL bonus is the same.

you get a total of +60 terrain negotiation and +60 burst run effeciency with Master Squad Leader
you get +40 terrain negotiation and +40 burst run effeciency with exploration 4 (+50 in each if you go master scout)
if you go ranger, thats another +45 terrain negotiation.
So here's the question: (in theory) If myself, exploration 4 and master Squad leader, Is grouped with a master ranger. And a doctor with 0 scouting
Would the rangers total terrain negotiation be 155, the doctors 60 and my total be 100? Or do they not stack?
The problem is here then: the docotr is still lagging behind, the ranger is still blasting ahead of the group and we aren't together. Yes we are moving faster, but because of them stacking the doctor is still getting left behind.

They stack.
However, there are marginal benefits after 50.
Frankly, there are marginal benefits after 35 or so...
