Hi LandoLover!

Can my Wookiee with a limited mind pool still be an effective SL?
Stats are completely changable via the Stat Migration command. Customize it to what suits your spec best.

Will being a Pistoleer be much worse than being a Carbineer?
There is no defininative good vs. bad. I myself am pistoleer but carbineer is also commonly reccomended for its suppression abilities. But it's all about what you like using better!

Can I achieve the full Pistoleer tree and Squad leader tree?
Yes! A great tool is Allakhazam's character builder at: http://swg.allakhazam.com/db/charbuild.html

Do you think the devs will be making changes to the Squad Leader Skills?
I believe all classes will get tweaked, tuned, etc. as things progress.

Do you think they will be able to leader a fleet of spaceships come Space expansion time?
I hope so! That is my dream to be able to do. Leading a Star Destroyer or some such would be just incredible. All we can do is hope, pray, and of course suggest it to them. I have a gut feeling the Squad leader profession will develop largely when the space expansion comes out.

I have a wookiee Momum on Bloodfin and had orginally intended for him to be a bh, however over the course of the past few weeks I've enjoyed leading groups to battle. I almost every MMO game I've played (DAoC, Planetside, etc.) I've enjoyed leading people however SL never dawned on me. Now that I'm changing professions I have a few questions.

  1. Migrate your mind stats up higher. I find with 800/625/475, I can use my specials quite often despite having lots of failures

  2. Pistoleer vs. Carbineer is all about personal preference

  3. You can get all of Pistoleer and all of Squad Leader, but not too much else

  4. Every profession will see lots of changes in the months and years to come

  5. I think Space Squadron Leaders will be a different profession, but thats just my opinion.

Youwill be able to have Master Marksman, Master Pistoleer, Master Squad Leader, and Survival IV and Exploration IV. You can fit in a lot more than you'd think.
