Wow that was fast, Thank you for the quick response.

Another Q though...Has there been any word that this profession will change at all when the expansion comes out? I know this profession is pretty big when it comes to space squads, another reason why im so interested in it. I would hate it if they just made another profession like Pilot Squadron Leader.

Personally, I hope the Space Expansion is big enough, and that Squad Leader gets enough content added to it in the coming 6 to 8 months, that a seperate space-based squad leader profession will be necessary and worthwhile.

In a fiction sense, the skills of an Army infantry leader are far different than those an Air Force wing commander.

I can just imagine the complaints of future pilots everywhere complaining about needing to sit in camps to get Survival XP in order to learn how to fly ships well

Hopefully they'll give everyone enough extra skill points when the SE comes out, that a player can both be a Ground Squad Leader and a Space Squad Leader, if they stays focused.

The reason that I'm doing SL and TKA is for my Dojo. I plan on being a teacher or the Teras Kasi. SL will allow me to lead a group of TKA's into battle to fight against the oppresion that has long held us down. Long Live the Rebellion!

Ok I've been playing this game since it came out and only now have I finally decided to go for this Class. It seems to be the only "Hero" type class in SWG. All the others are pretty much Scoundral,Hunterand Scientist Classes.

I've researched the Class and it seems that its only benifit comes from leading a group, right?

Well I haven't really done any battlefields yet (they are hard to find and I was off other places trying to figure out what I wanted to do) So is that where you all really get the enjoyment out of the C? or do you just mass big hunting parties and kill animals? I like the amount of Role Play that can come from this profession, but im just looking for some other plus's since it's not going to make me that much toughfer then I already am.

I read somewhere that you can lead NPC's in a battlefield, is this true? cause if so that would be cool. Wouldn't want to absoultly need people to have fun in this profession.

Thanks

I've never heard the "Hero,Scoundrel, Hunterand Scientist" archetype idea... but its a neat one.

Squad Leader is definitely among the very few combat support professions in SWG (especially for those who don't like crafting *sigh*... doctors)

Battlefields have yet to catch on yet on most servers, players just haven't started visiting them regularly enough to make them a staple for any Squad Leader.

Personally, I use my skills to lead big-game hunts and further assist my group members in friends in gaining more combat skills.

In an RP sense, I very much play a Safari Leading Explorer/Adventurer, seeking to take down the biggest game in the galaxy, because its there, and its hard.

You can purchase NPC faction pets on battlefields.
