Ok basically the ONLY argument that got Holo's attention is that profession X is no different than profession Y. If you read the ranger report of the top 5 suggestions the bottom 4 were TOTALLY ignored, all the changes came form the complaint they were nothing but super scouts. PLUS they took NONE of the ranger suggestions, the devs just made stuff up THEY wanted to do. This problem is MORE true of Squad Leaders than it EVER was of rangers. THUS our 5 problems should be:

#1) The Squad Leader Powers do not differ us from other professions.

If the Squad has a Master Squad leader leading it or a general player, there is NO significant difference to the group.

#2) Our powers don't add anything new.

The current Squad Leader powers add no new effects. E.G they just add more aiming to players that already have a LOT of aiming. More Terrain Movement to players that a large majority already have a LOT Terrain Movement.

#3) No effects on the squad or battle.

The Squad Leader effects don't change the outcome of a battle. They have little to no effect on the squad. Except to annoy them, “Why can't I harvest with rally on”.

#4) Inconsistent power deployment.

The Squad leader effects work about 50% of the time. This is annoying and gives people the impression your foolish. “Why didn't you cast rally.” “I did; 5 times, it just never worked.”

#5) Other professions actually have BETTER squad affecting powers.

It's much more important to have other professions in a Squad than Squad Leaders. For example; A Combat Medic has a large effect on battles and the outcome of battles. Doctors with buffs and revive make a Massive difference. Creature Handlers with large pets provide large tanks. Rangers with the big camps allow for quick healing. Etc... While Squad Leaders make NO difference at all.

I think the best point made here is that SL isn't the best prefession to help a group. The most crucial part of a group should be SL, that's all it's for. Sure if you want to take on a Krayt dragon, it'll be just as crucial to have a Doctor and combat medic and all the rest. But people should be saying, if only we had a SL. Right now that kind of thing is said about Doctors when you're hurt, combat medics in the heat of battle... Every profession should have someone saying that about it... If only we had a squad leader.

I hate to add a me too, but this seems to be the "formula" for getting the devs to take notice --- and we need help!

Aye, squad leaders are in dire need of some communication. Since beta I've been wanting to play a squad leader. Didn't make that far in beta, but now I have enough xp to do so. However, I'm not spending all of my combat xp on ranged spec and novice SL if it doesn't have something to offer other than /sysmessage and a few bonuses. I'd rather plug the combat xp into pistol stances.

Fix SL.
