Thread: Proposed changes...too many commands, not enough bonuses.

THE GOOD:


1. Forced March sounds great. With no vehicles currently in the game, a movement buff would be greatly appreciated.


2. Smoke-em-if-you-got-em. Everyone would appreciate faster mind regen. However, instead of making it camp based, I think it should be useable at any time, but broken if someone enters combat.


3. Offensive and Defense Stance. Granting bonuses is good.


THE BAD:


1. Too many commands. How will you ever fit all this on your hotkey bar? You'd need 21 slots to have the different commands for Ranged, Support, and Front Line groups. I'd recommand adding more passive bonuses.


2. Potential for error. Imagine if a Squad Leader accidently hit CeaseFire during a fight. The entire group would stop firing, but the enemies wouldn't. This one mistake could kill everyone and ensure that the Squad Leader never leads a squad again.


3. PCs are not pets. No character should be given control other everyone else's characters. Don't bother coding the following commands: Follow Me, In formation, Hold Fire & Fire At Will, Group Attack, Cease Fire, Group Heal. These commands will only annoy people. I highly recommend adding the PaintTarget command many people have asked for.

I have major concerns about the "mind control" abilities of SL. We should get more passive bonuses and abilities that help out the group. We shouldn't get to control what others do.
