Thread: Squad Leader and how it affects you.
Been playing SL for quite some time now (started 1 month after SWG went live), and I've been wondering if/when devs will actually respond to some of the concerns that have been posted by others in the SL profession. The most disheartening thing is that now, as of the infamous 10/10 and 10/14 patches, almost none of the SL skills work. If they don't work, then what is the point of being a SL? If we are holding on to the hope that a dev will pay attention to us, we have to understand that a precedent has already been set in that devs will listen to the majority, then work on content that is 'in testing' then work on fixes, then work on the minority (the classes that aren't played as much as others).
I have been watching the dev tracker, and have yet to even see Thunderheart pop over to our boards. Yes, I understand that the majority rules, especially when you take into account the scope of this game (over 1/4 of a million people), but to a certain point, I do not understand the lack of communication between certain professions and the devs that are supposed to be watching just that particular profession. If I am wrong in my assumption that there is a dev that was specifically hired to handle the SL profession, then I apologize, and I am to a certain point jumping off the deep end. But from what I understand, there is supposed to be at least one dev per profession. If that is so, then why have we not heard from ours?
I realize that this is my first post, and my opinions may not be taken seriously because of that, but I would really appreciate a response from a dev, any dev for that matter, or a board moderator, or our correspondant telling us at least that we are on the back burner when it comes to fixes (just read the posts that you've put up Capt, and you're doing a hell of a job, I am in no way putting the blame on you, I support you 100%). A response, even if it is "we're working on it," is better than no response at all, and it would be greatly appreciated if we knew that the devs understand our frustration with this class, and the lack of communication. If they don't understand, at the very least, know what the problems with the class are, and why people are not choosing to follow this profession over others.
