Yup, my holocron said i must master squad leader. I have no idea how this skill works but i was wondering if i can get some tips on what i should give up. I'm a master rifleman, master ch, medic 4/0/4/0. Also if there are any master squad leaders on Lowca it would be great to get some powergaming info on this class. Thanks.

Well you already have a few skills. You need to max your combat and survival.

PS good luck the devs havent cleared out a bug that prevents us from going up in level.

Well, if you have a guild they can powerlevel you up to master pretty quickly. That's always been the case with squad leader.

Just be the leader of a huge group (pets/droids count), and find a way to let you do maximum damage to everything.

For instance, have your group members use ONLY bleed shots, while you are buffed and using your best damage special. If necessary, have a brawler, buffed, in armor to tank, using intimidate and his worst possible weapon (i.e. a Dagger or Wood Staff). Creature tanks will do too much damage, have them in the group if necessary but don't let them tank. If you have group members who care more about leveling you than themselves, you can grind to Master Squad Leader very quickly. I plan on getting our guild to do this when the Squad Leader tree is fixed.

If you don't have a guild to powerlevel you, your best bet is to camp Fort Tusken. Squill Cave doesn't respawn fast enough, and no other spot in the game will guarantee you a constant flow of group members and things to shoot. Except for maybe Dathomir Outpost. In a setting where your group is not willing to powerlevel you, the Squad Leader xp you earn will be directly proportional to your DPS.

thanks for the tips guys. So from what i've heard my damage output would give me more exp then if i had 3 pets grouped with me from master ch? If so then i guess dropping my ch would be better then dropping rifleman.

but then again your doing it cuz your being forced too....

endor or lok will probably be the ebst places for SL XP, but make sure your doin a lot of damage personally to the MOBs...... SL xp is based off of weapon/combat XP so if your not doing much damage your not going to get as much SL xp.

the larger the group the better

dont expect any of the skills to help you

Master Rifleman... hm.. be aware that currently you dont get SL XP if you dont get combat XP, due to XP cap .. so.. good luck :-)

Your Holocron told you to be an SL? Wow, that sucks. Well, at least it gave you an easy task...Get a group of 20 pets/PCs combined, go to Endor, three days at most you are master.

I am enjoying the Squad Leader myself, even though we're still very buggy... not to say broken.
The more people you have in your group the more SL Xp you get. You also get SL XP by grouping with pets, but it's never as much as with a semi-big raid group.

If/when I find a holocron I really hope it tells me some reason to drop SL...

I pity you.

LOL Ok, I feel your pain. Mine told me I must Master Squad Leader also so...

Looks like I'm going to be joining the community. I'll be willing to help anyone where I can, but of coarse I'm a noob when it comes to the SL proffesion.

Oh well, looks like it will be an interesting time.
