Thread: More SS of CSR vs SL commands

Here the CSR blames peeps going LD due to a SL, even though it was explained that the SL ws not spamming commands when that occured
Here the CSR accusses the SL of spamming 1000's of times a second, which is impossible, the fastest it can be spammed is one time every 1.6 seconds.
Here the CSR trys to make some type of a comparison to driving a car at 120 MPH, still trying to figure that one out!
Not trying to flame the CSR's here just looking for a way to be able to utilize this profession to it's potential. Can anyone tell me, a CSR or anyone how to play a SL and utilize the form up command to it's fullest potential without getting banned?
Keep in mind that by moving thousands of meters away disrupts my game style. This is what the Devs seem to be focussing on here. I should not have to move 1000's of meters away from a city if it disrupts my gamestyle, right?
I do not think that there is a SL out there who would not like it better if the spamming was gone in spatial. I get hundreds of Hate tells when spamming specials from peeps, but what is the alternative?
For god's sake the DEFAULT SPAM FOR FORM UP IS "FORM UP SLIMEBALLS" The Devs put that in the game, not the player base!
edit*** the csr's name is keithr no tag in front of his name in the chat logs so u all know!
edit2*** All we want is a definate answer on what is ok and what is not. This CSR bounced all over the charts here with this:
1-Once every30 secs is ok
2-Once every few secs is ok, if in combat
3-Nothing is ok in cities
etc. etc. etc
When asked for a definitive answer he said the depended on the CSR who was responding to the complaint.
Please give us something definitive to go one, that is consistent with ALL CSR's not ever changing.
Lastly for anyone who comes on and even brings up the way this CSR was talked to by me or by Sabrinna remember that the banning had NOTHING to do with that at all and was never even an issue with them at all in emails or in chat, therefore it is a non-issue. CSR's are professional and we all know that they are capable of taking a little abuse and not letting affect the way the do their jobs. Or at least I would like to think so.

Apparently you are an idiot spectre
On the car thing... He is saying how cars have a max speed but we dont go to that max speed legally. On comparison to SL abilities you dont have to run around going /formup /formup /formup /formup /formup /formup /formup /formup /formup /formup /formup /formup /formup as fast as the game allows.
By saying the SL was using the abilities 1000's of times a second the CSR was using this thing called 'sarcasm'. He was meaning the abilities were being used as fast as you possibly could and any squad leader who has to SPAM the abilities is an idiot in my book. Im a squad leader and I pvp frequently and i dont have to SPAM any abilities. Here let me explain spam to you: Spamming is when you perform an action in very rapid succession, even if the action is not needed. If someone is spamming formup in rapid succession they are an idiot, especially if their squad members arent dizzy/stunned.
I find that if anyone spams SL abilities needlessly they are a disgrace to this broken profession and I could care less if they are banned or not.
The day I get CSRs complaining about the way I play SL then i will come to this board and erase everything ive said here and agree with you fully. I doubt anyone who knows how to use SL and has a brain would SPAM commands, its as i have said before "ludicrous" that anyone WOULD do it needlessly. When text from the same person appears in about 15-20 lines sucessively with no breaks by the text of others in a crowded city it is absurd.

first point what a SL has to do and can do are two different things, playing a character within the limits of the game should never be questioned as long as bugs/exploits and the like are not a part of it. As far as the car thing is concerned there is a HUGE diffeent, one is dangerous, places lives in jeapordy and is illegal and one involves a game and playing the character the way the GAME allows!
About spamming the form up command. Lisrten carefully, this is how WE CHOOSE TO PLAY IT!
We combat is initiated we start 2 macros 1 is formup and one is retreat the formup has a /pause 1 included in it and the retreat has a /pause 20 in it.
This allows our SL to actively enteract better in the group, in so much as they only have to worry about using the other commands when they are need and can focus more on the offensive side of the battle. Our SL never has to wory about form up and retreat, they can concentrate on their rifle abilities and the other few useful SL commands. THE GAME ALLOWS THIS!
Another example would be my toon. I am a TKM/MDR. I run two macros when I am in combat, one is a COB macro and one is a heal macro.
This way i can worry about the more dynamic parts of combat instead of the little things. These macros allow me to maintin close to 100% CoB and NEVER have to worry about curing any states or poison / disease, thiscompletely nulifies CM's with only a slight delay to my combat queue.
Remember, the game has implemented a macro system TO BE USED. How an individual player chooses to use the macros are their business and their right as long as they do not violate any of the policies that SOE has established.
Anyone who can come in here and talk smack about how a character chooses to play is just beyond me. What makes you think that you are the oversight on issues like this? I for one think it is idiotic and ludicrous to play SL without those 2 macros running, just forces you to have to worry about 2 more things that can be taken care of with a simple macro and allows you to focus on other things more effectively.
