im near done Rifleman, and I am currently a 0/0/4/3 SL. i use Composite Armor and find myself buying buffs constantly just to stay at a substantial HAM level for Soloing on dantooine. i was wondering, should i drop my Comp. Armor and pick up padded? because i have heard that when your in bigger groups it takes more out on your HAM to use your SL specials.

RIS.

Seriously, though, I'm a Zabraki MRM MSL with a maxed mind, and if it's any stronger than Steelweave, I can't wear it without buffs withoutloosing my mind faster than a krack fiend. That is with Brandy. Without being drunk, I don't even bother shooting. I just lay down and die.

Seriously.

Finish rifleman, then do Enraged Rancor missions untill you have a nice pool of funds, then you'll have money to buy buffs. If you are doing PvP, get the steriotypical stun comp armor. If you're into PvE, get Ubese.

Personally, I have ubesse armor with a comp helm. It's a nice ballance. I can wear it without buffs, but it's pointless. If I'm in armor I'm buffed, stuffed, drunk, and stoned off my ass. Also, invest in some PSGs. As a MRM, you can afford it.

To PvE without armor, cause once they are close your about dead anyway

After the Combat Revamp... everything will be different. So you may not like being a SL/Rifleman.

The weapons will change, the armor will change, the professions will change.... combat will change.

Of course, this also means you have about 4-5 months to enjoy being a SL/Rifleman...
