I love my template. Master Rifleman, SL 3044, Ranger 0040. Nothing like tracking down rebels with my ranger abilities, leading my men into battle, sniping the target from range, and then setting up a nice camp and boosting morale between conflicts to heal up fast. I mean, it's great.
I had always assumed that /steadyaim was fairly lame, but having read a few posts on the matter, it seems like it might be decent to have, especially with the proliferation of Jedi. Sad part is, I'd have to drop some or all of ranger (cause if I can't area track players, what's the point in the rest of it).
Do you think it is worth it?

i would not pick up SL just for steadyaim
My personal opinion on the matter is that steadyaim doesnt offer a large enough bonus to make it worthwhile for peopel with maxed out professions.
My accuracy mods for carbines are simply astounding and i notice very little, if any, benefit from steady aim since im already at the top for accuracy, accuracy while moving, etc. my baseline accuracy is +190 and my others are all like +50 or better.
It is a useful tool and CAN help.....and it REALLY helps peopel who dotn have maxed templates...it's also a lot better for PvP than PvE (in my opinion) simply due to the nature of PvP. I just think it has it's limits. It's not what i would call an "uber" skill although it can be helpful.
I would not pick up S just because of steady aim though. As a rifleman you pretty much have allt he accuracy you need between your mods and /aim . Youd have to be grouped AND be group leader to make use of steadyaim
for a single person /aim is just as useful nearly as steadyaim.

this of course is just all my opinion...there realyl isnt a right or wrong answer here.
if you really want to try it out save up some wilderness and scouting XP so u cna pick the stuff up in ranger that you drop....and go try it out. If it's not working out you have that XP saved up to revert back into ranger.

Thanks for the input. Since I have all the xp stored up, shouldn't be an issue if I want to revert. I never pvp solo and I am in high demand as a SL on my server since I guess there aren't many of them that pvp. The constant burstrun macro and the dizzy/stun heals are very popular, of course. If I can add a nice bonus to accuracy to everyone every few shots, all the better. I'm just curious if anyone enough experience using this ability to say either way whether is would be of use to my group.
My new template after I do this would be Master Rifleman, Squad Leader 4244, Medic 2240. I am generally covert for large scale battles (group of 20) and never attack unless attacked first (with a rally tef... I hate gtefs like poison), so this would allow me to augment my already uber support abilities with some medic to use high-quality stims, first aid, and drag.
