I decided to scroll all the way back to the back pages of this forum to take a look at all the old posts. Man, I'm such a loser!
However, I did find it kind of interesting to look back at the old posts from yesteryear. A lot of things have happened since SWG went live, and the posts of the past definately reflect the events that have happened since then. Personally, I think that someone could actually make a pretty decent timeline here thanks to the many constructive posts that are so prevailant in our forums (and I think that statement does ring true today as it was a year ago).
Don't worry, I'm not gonna do any necro posting 
Some of the things I've noticed (or remembered). This is not necessarily in chronological order:
- The good ol' CaptainVemnox's ascention as Squad Leader correspondent, and the response of someone complaining that he didn't post enough to earn the job lol as well as Thulium's appointing and ultimately Irott's.
- The Capt's stern yet constructive post stating that people SHOULD NOT PM him about threads that they have posted in order to get noticed (err.. I'm guilty of that.. as a matter of fact I did that just recently [sorry irott ]).
- The very first posts were general questions about our Squad Leader profession. Hopes also ran high for theclass in the early days, butas time progressed I noticed that interest in the class was really high and then quickly tapered off into disinterest to virtual disgust as they realize that things were not all that cracked up to be.
- The correspondents' constant pleas with the devs for a viable response so that they can relay it back to the community (I rememberthe capt. doing this quite often). Things certainly have gotten better since then, though it could be better still.
- Of particular note was the time when Thulium put up the official SL discussion threads (which are still being used today).
- The Dreaded Hologrind
- And Subsequent XP Reward Increase
- Various "State of the Profession" posts, with Irott's obviously the most recent
There are plenty others. I suggest that if any of you have the time, why notpress that little ">>" button on the screen and take a quick look back at our history? In this way we could understand where we're comming from in order to better prepare ourselves for the future

Actually, I'm kindof confused myself Blamj. I had entered some sort of epiphany at the time I wrote this. Or maybe I was drunk?
